Please message us before booking for our pet policy to see if your dogs qualify. There is an additional fee for bringing a pet to cover the cleaners’ extra time to keep the space fresh for future guests. Please note the only way to the loft is the spiral staircase which is not safe for pets. When we have our pup there he sleeps in the lower level.The roads require AWD or 4WD for November through April (however it can snow in October and in May!). The roads are plowed after 6 inches of snow. You do not need a 4WD or AWD in the summer but be aware that the dirt roads in the neighborhood bumpy!There is no air conditioning unit here. It is very rare in our county to have one installed in a house (even brand-new builds!). The nights are cool in the summer so to cool the house off you can open all the windows and doors, then close them during the day and you stay nice and cool! There are fans provided to help blow the cool air through the cabin.We are at 9,200 feet in elevation — altitude sickness can occur, but you can do things to prevent it and alleviate symptoms, including: Taking a day to rest when you arrive. Drink extra water and stay well hydrated (avoiding alcohol will help). (The tap water is from natural spring water and is delicious and safe to drink.) Wear sunscreen, even when it is cool or cloudy.The spiral staircase is narrow and it can be challenging to cart large luggage up and down. We often keep our luggage on the main level. If you have children, please be extra careful around the staircase (it’s tempting to use it as a play gym, but can be very dangerous).This house is in a neighborhood.
