Enjoy over 200’ of private lake frontage on all sports Thornapple Lake with plenty of parking and a large yard for your favorite yard games. The deck and covered porch are roomy and inviting and provide both table and lounge seating for everyone! There are 2 kayaks to adventure around the lake or float down the river into town. The lake is quaint and quiet. There are 2 separate boat launches within minutes of the house if you decide to bring your own boat. With 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, everyone will enjoy their own space. The upstairs hosts a private master suite with its own balcony overlooking the lake. The second bedroom has a queen bed and private full bathroom. The third bedroom has two queen beds and an adjacent bathroom. Enjoy the fully stocked eat-in kitchen with seating for 8, which is the perfect place for game night. Please read amenities description. The home does not have central air but there are 3 air units, one in each bedroom. The internet is not stellar, but will support Netflix, Hula, etc. Thornapple Lake is a 400-acre all sports lake. The Thornapple River flows through the lake from east to west. Historic Charlton Park is located directly across the lake from the house by boat or just around the corner by car. There is a public boat launch and public beach and is a great place to walk, bike, picnic and enjoy the natural surrounds. Hastings is 7 miles to the west and hosts a handful of great places to eat and the downtown area is a social district with lots of shops, brewery and restaurants to visit. There is also a Walmart, TJ Max, Apple Bees, Walgreens, movie theater, bowling alley, parks, and antique stores. The sandy, shallow swim area & dock are ideal for hanging out, launching kayaks & docking your boat. Perfect lake for water sports, fishing & watching wildlife. End your evenings with a bonfire under the stars or hanging out on the dock.The spaceFully renovated in 2023, our cottage feels fresh and new. High-end details in the kitchen and bathrooms make the space feel luxurious while the professionally designed interiors bring the cozy comforts of home.With 55' of private lake frontage and a sandy shallow swim area it's the perfect spot to hang out or watch the kids splash around. Pro Tip: Bring the plastic Adirondacks from the garage into the water for an ideal place to cool off and spend the day.*note - the dock and swim area is directly across the street from the house.Proximity to Bay Pointe Inn – only ¼ mile down the road and easily walkable. Whether attending an event or just grabbing dinner, Bay Pointe is a great place to enjoy beautiful views of the lake from its upper deck.The 3-season porch is our favorite spot to hang out. It's a great spot to read a book or gather your crew. Open all the windows and enjoy the lake breeze or the early morning crisp air. Even on rainy days, it’s the perfect place for coffee or wine.At the end of a long day of fun in the sun, gather around the Solo Stove for bonfires and smores.We often hear that winter is the best time to be on the lake. The lake freezes over so it's a great spot for ice fishing or hockey and is incredibly peaceful in the winter. Snowshoe trails are nearby. The house has radiant heat, mini-split heat pumps, and an electric fireplace to cozy up near after a day of winter fun.The driveway provides parking for up to 6 cars.Convenient access from Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo, and most of southwest Michigan and the central Great Lakes region. Only 10 minutes east of US-131.Guest access:You will have access to the entire house. We keep our boat at the dock and store a few tools and supplies in the garage, so we ask that you respect these areas. We will make any areas of the garage that are off-limits clear, but other than that, the house is yours to enjoy!Other things to note:We encourage you to open the windows and let the lake breezes flow. We added mini-split AC/Heat Pumps in all upstairs sleeping areas and the main floor in the Spring of 2024. The cottage has radiant boiler heat throughout and is great for all seasons.We also added a fence in the front yard in the Spring of 2024.
