Nos quedamos en este hotel por una noche, pero no podemos dejarlo en absoluto. Every member of the Hilton Team we met during our stay were fabulous- receptionist, bar staff, executive lounge team, Brightsmith Restaurant, house keeping, breakfast, concierge - all keen to help, have a pleasant chat and a laugh- yet continue to work and remain professional - very tuned in to guests and the guest experience. A credit to themselves and the hotel. Our room was exceptionally clean and I have to say the bed and pillows were the best I have ever slept in, amazing. The hotel was busy which added to the atmosphere and buzz. Yet the bedrooms were really quiet. In my opinion The Metropole has the edge over other hotels. We stayed here a few years ago and it still has that 'plush' appeal, it is a treat to stay here - it was like coming home and we intend not leave it so long before we return again. Thank you all.

I stopped here one night with friends for my birthday. The hotel is easy to get to, and the location is excellent as it’s located on Broad Street, near Brindley Place which hosts a wide range of bars and pubs. So if you’re visiting Birmingham to have a drunken, night out or a special occasion then this hotel is perfect. There’s also parking on site behind the hotel which is very handy, unfortunately the car park isn’t discounted for guests stopping in the hotel. After waiting in a small queue, we attempted to check in at 14:30 (half hour earlier than check in ‘opens’) we were told the room wasn’t ready. Which wasn’t an issue as they had luggage storage available. We can back to check in at 16:00 and the queue was horrendous. I’ve never seen a queue as big as this to check in for a hotel before. We waited for 20 minutes until we checked in. The room was spacious, clean and well equipped. Although there were coffee cups left behind the curtains upon entry. The bathroom was very modern and had a walk in shower. The beds were unbelievably comfy and had plug sockets by the side of the bed which is a massive plus as not every hotel has this. Luckily, it was a quicker process checking out as you can just pop your keys in the ‘express checkout box’. Overall, a comfortable night stay in the heart of Birmingham, unfortunately the check in was horrific.

There is so much to unpack here when it comes to Selina Birmingham. Never again am I staying at this hellhole of a hotel. For a name like Selina, the hotel sure is nightmarish to stay at. It's shameful that the hotel shares the same name with my non-biological/cosplay partner. There is no breakfast but at least, the bedding, the pillows and the duvet are comfy (but most likely due to the fact that I’m tired) and the wi-fi is decent. Unfortunately, this is where the compliments stop, especially when the dorm rooms are so dark, you have to turn on the flashlight on your phone in order to see. Not to mention, there is no television in the room I was staying in. To make matters worse, the dorm room is cold, coupled with no heating. I honestly don't mind the cold most of the time but the room temperature is too cold for my liking. Speaking of the ground floor, the Korean receptionist told me that I'm not allowed to eat my food at a table at the cafe and told me to climb the stairs all the way to the third floor in order to eat my food. It isn't fair, considering the receptionist with the short, dark hair tends to allow me to eat my food at a table at the cafe during the very early hours of the morning. I eventually lost my patience and yelled at the Korean receptionist. It's rare when I lose my patience. I threatened in a growly voice with, ”I suggest you fill the pot noodle to the top with water unless you want a scathing, negative review to be blasted on the radio for everyone to hear?”. Finally, she got the memo. The rooms, bathrooms and toilets and facilities are unsanitary (for example, there are biscuit crumbs all over the bed sheets. I didn't know until I got out of bed), the entire hotel itself is not accessibility-friendly as if the lack of a lift and the staff not being accommodating towards disabled people such as myself isn’t of any indication, the kitchen and the kitchen equipment on the third floor are dirty, there is no hot water in some of the bathrooms within the dorm rooms, the bathrooms and the dorm rooms are shared (therefore, there is no privacy), the lights keep turning themselves off if you’re idle (I’m more used to turning on and off the lights on my own accord), you need to pay £10 for a padlock which is complicated for disabled people and the list goes on. The toilets, bathrooms, kitchen etc are just as dirty as Badea Faulkner and Olive Allison Brown from the Avanzar House in Middleton, Manchester not cleaning up after themselves. And don’t get me started on the staff being problematic. They aren’t very useful to the point where I had to shout at them due to their language barriers and them not listening to me, let alone understanding me. This is troubling for autistic people like me. Never in all my years have I encountered such frustrating hotel staff members. Compared to the other hotels I've stayed at in the past, the hotel staff in these hotels were never infuriating. If a lack of staff doesn’t tell you the appalling

The service that I revived was top tier, the employees were always very polite and helpful you can truly see they are dedicated to providing memorable experiences to their guests. The hotel itself is beautifully kept with cleaner spotted 24/7 across the premises. !DEFINITELY RECOMMEND STAYING HERE!

I stopped here one night with friends for my birthday. The hotel is easy to get to, and the location is excellent as it’s located on Broad Street, near Brindley Place which hosts a wide range of bars and pubs. So if you’re visiting Birmingham to have a drunken, night out or a special occasion then this hotel is perfect. There’s also parking on site behind the hotel which is very handy, unfortunately the car park isn’t discounted for guests stopping in the hotel. After waiting in a small queue, we attempted to check in at 14:30 (half hour earlier than check in ‘opens’) we were told the room wasn’t ready. Which wasn’t an issue as they had luggage storage available. We can back to check in at 16:00 and the queue was horrendous. I’ve never seen a queue as big as this to check in for a hotel before. We waited for 20 minutes until we checked in. The room was spacious, clean and well equipped. Although there were coffee cups left behind the curtains upon entry. The bathroom was very modern and had a walk in shower. The beds were unbelievably comfy and had plug sockets by the side of the bed which is a massive plus as not every hotel has this. Luckily, it was a quicker process checking out as you can just pop your keys in the ‘express checkout box’. Overall, a comfortable night stay in the heart of Birmingham, unfortunately the check in was horrific.

Ubicación muy conveniente, aunque en una zona de estacionamiento restringido. Para descargar y llevar el equipaje al check-in del primer piso, ¡primero debes llamar a un número para reservar un lugar de estacionamiento! Esto podría estar bien, si tienes un teléfono móvil y un código postal del Reino Unido, para los que no son residentes del Reino Unido es una pesadilla. El desagüe del lavabo estaba bloqueado a la llegada y lo arreglaron al día siguiente. El desayuno se estaba quedando sin comida 40 minutos antes del cierre. En una ocasión, el servicio de limpieza estaba limpiando la habitación cuando regresamos del desayuno, les pidió que nos dieran 5 minutos, les avisó cuando habíamos terminado y nos fuimos, regresamos al final de la tarde y la habitación no fue atendida. ¡El servicio de limpieza afirmó que habíamos dejado pertenencias personales en las camas para que no pudieran limpiarlas! Esto era completamente falso: puedo aceptar que se olvidaron de regresar, pero no puedo aceptar que mientan al respecto para evitar aceptar la responsabilidad. El chico de recepción fue genial, tuve problemas al registrar la aplicación para estacionar porque rechazaba mi número de teléfono celular en el extranjero, me permitió usar su número de celular para que la aplicación funcionara.

En un viaje de negocios, realmente no esperando por ello.. reservado el hotel más cercano al lugar no se da cuenta de que está conectado.. esperado estar en una caja de viajes... este hotel fue tan agradable, me iba feliz de regresar! Todo sobre eso, personal de check-in amable, excelente habitación con todo lo que necesito. El hotel está muy bien situado, pero no me ha dado la oportunidad de tomar una pastel para el desayuno, aunque no me haya pagado por el desayuno (la cirugía me impide que me ahogue en las placas de bufete de alta calidad..... cama cómoda, ducha de bañera, instalaciones de café, El hotel está muy bien situado en la recepción, pero no dudaría en quedarse aquí otra vez.

Muy mala actitud al hacer el check in Estaba ciego y no encontré el nombre del huésped, pero tuve que pagar la tarifa de la habitación nuevamente y finalmente descubrí que mi habitación estaba reservada a nombre de un colega. Este tipo de servicio es súper pobre, todos con discriminación racial. Ctrip debe traducir al inglés y permanecer en la página de comentarios de su hotel para evitar que los compatriotas pisen el foso. ¡Servicio repugnante del terrible personal masculino del turno de noche con actitud racista!

La ubicación del hotel fue excelente. Estacionamiento es de 13 libras por la noche en el sitio. La habitación estaba limpia. El aire acondicionado no funcionó y así fue que mi compañero casi se quedó enfadado. Llamé al gerente que vino junto con el mantenimiento de la casa. La casa de la casa intentaba decir oh es el movimiento sensorizado y tienes que esperar 30 minutos o así para venir. No hay tiempo para que el cono de aire se acerque a la tía de 1994. Y finalmente 30 minutos después nos movieron a la habitación a la puerta y de la palabra iba mucho más frío y el cono de aire estaba trabajando.. esperar.. sin que nadie estuviera allí para la “moción a/c” para trabajar. El director ofreció que nos trajeran bebidas, pero no bebimos tan poco. Ofreció que pagara 13 libras por estacionar de nuevo no vale la pena. En general, no fue una experiencia muy mala, pero un poco lo construímos cuando nos mudamos de habitación.

Nos alojamos por una noche mientras visitaba Birmingham. El hotel, las habitaciones, el personal (el personal no podía hacer más por nosotros), la comida! Todo increible! Aunque te recomiendo tres cosas si te alojas aquí. Aparca en el parque de caballos Horsefair NCP y resérvalo en línea con antelación Ahorrará una fortuna absoluta y está a un minuto del hotel. En segundo lugar, si tienes el sueño ligero y obtienes la habitación detrás de los ascensores, suplicales por otro. Son bastante ruidosos toda la noche. Por último, desayune temprano o se perderá la comida cocinada Fantástica estancia en general! Gracias por una gran experiencia
