EL lujo en todo su esplendor. Un hotel para disfrutarlo, con una vista al mar excepcional, un desayuno de la mayor calidad y un restaurante con una carta limitada pero de muy buena calidad. Todo en el hotel está hecho para que uno sienta que está en un lugar excepcional y con tal condición hay que aprovechar el lugar. Para disfrutarlo con tiempo y sin prisa por hacer otras cosas.la cafetería estupenda y los servicios excepcionales. Quizás que cobren el parquin al aire libre sea un poco abuso, aunque aquí todo tiene precio. Asumido eso, un lugar para no olvidar

We stayed in mid September, choosing this hotel from reading reviews, its quiet location and outside pool. Reception staff were all excellent, very friendly and helpful with suggestions and answers to our holiday questions. The hotel building is a stunning art deco design with a spectacular huge central atrium containing many sofas and tables, a bar area that leads into the restaurant area. We sat outside for breakfast ( weather permitting !) and the breakfast quality and varied selection of hot and cold food was superb. The golf room was lovely with views of the near-by golf course with countryside views in the distance. The room was a good size with an excellent bathroom, 2 basins, separate toilet,( + large flat walk-in shower). Lots of storage for clothes, a safe and fridge. Many room options in this hotel- the front facing sea- view rooms are brilliant for example. A large outside pool sunbathing area is an advantage for this hotel. The luxurious sun beds are the most comfortable we’ve used. The hotel location as reviews mention is at the top end of a very long hill from the centre. It takes about 10-15 minutes. 2 walking options; one is to walk along the main road path all the way or secondly to walk down the path for about 5 minutes then take one of the steep wide steps on the right of the main path down to the beach/ promenade and continue walking on a wide flat beach promenade all the way to the centre. ( one note - there is an area near the Hotel du Palais when the promenade goes under the hotel and where the waves come up to this path and the sea does make this part wet when the tide is high and sea is rough). The walk back uphill is a slow hard walk along the main road path or again use the flat promenade then take the steep steps up to the main road path again where you walk for the last 5 minutes to the hotel. The locals mostly cycle using electric bikes - you know why after walking around! There is an excellent free bus (N11) that stops outside the hotel and goes directly into the centre ( the return bus stop is outside too). It’s perfect except that it doesn’t run very late in evening. Getting the local taxis in Biarritz is near impossible - not many and they don’t always turn-up. Also they’ve resisted other competition from Uber etc ( even less of these & again not reliable) so that is a major negative for us in this town. We used the excellent buses and train services ( e.g. direct bus to Bayonne & train to Saint Jean de Luz) . The uphill location could be difficult for some people but the quiet location and the hotel facilities and proximity to the lovely walk to the lighthouse area close by are advantages to smaller central hotels. A luxury hotel with excellent staff. Highly recommended.

This should not be rated as four star The Good: Excellent breakfast - but pricey. Location with beach within 5 minutes walk and plenty of bars and restaurants. The Bad: Understaffed - only one person ever visible. Online check-in does not work - they still request a card guarantee There is no bar or restaurant or room service - a must for a four star hotel The rooms are tiny - even the so called 'privilege' rooms can only just take a king size bed Unless you are on the higher floors there is no beach or sea view. If you have a rear room, you overlook a carpark. There are only 2 lifts and no accessible stairs (fire door access only) and one was not working when I was there. It is very expensive for what you get. My advice is to look else where, check that the room size and hotel facilities are what you are looking for. There much better value hotels out there, even in and around Biarritz.

Creo que el titulo del comentario lo expresa todo. El hotel esta muy bien situado en relación al Puerto Viejo de Biarritz y es una opción cómoda para visitar la ciudad. Tanto el proceso de reserva como el check in, desayuno o room service fueron impecablemente atendidos, con eficacia, rapidez y amabilidad por parte del personal: un 10 para ellos. Lamentablemente, el hotel esta viejo. Necesita una reforma porque el mobiliario, camas, moquetas y el cuarto de baño se ven gastados y como de otra época. La calidad del desayuno es muy buena. La del room service no tanto, porque todo es demasiado graso y banado en aceite, especialmente las patatas fritas de acompañamiento. Ademas, pedimos hielo para las bebidas y nunca llego. El hotel tiene un parking a 20 euros la noche. Buena opción si estas en ruta. En general, es un producto que tiene un gran potencial y que volveríamos a utilizar solo si acometen una reforma de importancia.

I normally don't write reviews but this place was so subpar I have to warn other travelers. I specifically booked this room because it had air conditioning. When we got there, the air conditioner hissed, but no cold air came out. I alerted the staff and they said that they would fix it, and I even offered to switch rooms if it couldn't be fixed that day. The hotel clerk shook her head at my suggestion and said that it would be fixed. When we got back later that night, it clearly wasn't fixed and the staff refused to do anything about it. The blinds were so caked with dirty there was no way we were touching them. We stayed in a stuffy, hot room, and it ruined our experience of Biarritz. To make matters worse, there was a fly that was stuck in the room and buzzing around our heads all night long- not only gross, but couldn't sleep! The broken aircon wasn't the only thing wrong- the room was not clean- spiders and spiderwebs in the corners, dirty blinds, overall unsanitary conditions. Definitely avoid this place if you can!

Esta vez estuvimos sólo cuatro días a fin de agosto, lo suficiente para apreciar el resultado de una importante renovación de interiores de las habitaciones llevada a cabo en el último invierno. El año anterior quedó restaurada completamente la fachada, incluidas ventanas. La acogida fue excelente, como siempre; continuas las atenciones por parte de todo el personal y de la dirección. Ha mejorado la calidad de los desayunos. Todo ello ha debido repercutir en un cierto aumento del precio de alojamiento, comprensible dado el esfuerzo llevado a cabo recientemente para dotar de mayor confort al hotel, lo que se agradece a nuestra edad. La céntrica ubicación y posibilidad de estacionar el vehículo en el aparcamiento anejo son un importante reclamo para quienes tienen problemas de movilidad, como es nuestro caso.

Está situado en el centro frente a la tienda de HERMÉS , no es primera línea pero son unos pasos y es perfecto para moverse por Biarritz. Es un hotel familiar que están poco a poco restaurando . Se agradece el buen trato. La habitación familiar es amplia con 2 camas de matrimonio muy cómodas y grandes . Falta aún mejorar iluminación, mobiliario y las cortinas , pero las camas y aseos están bien y ya modernizados . El desayuno es variado se sirve hasta las 10:30h. Tienen parking pero hay que hacer reserva previa porque hay pocas plazas . La chica de recepción nos recomendó restaurantes para cenar y sin duda fueron buenísimos consejos . Repetiremos y recomendamos , eso sí reservaremos con más antelación para ver si la tarifa es algo menor porque agosto es muy caro ya máxime cuando reservas pocos días antes .

Instalaciones renovadas. Atención al publico solo hasta las 19 h. Bien ubicado cerca del centro y de la playa. No obstante tuvimos un incidente importante con el ascensor. Indica un máximo 8 personas y 630 kg. Subimos 8 personas con menos de 630 kg. El ascensor no tiene sensor de sobrepeso. El ascensor se detuvo entre dos pisos. Tampoco tiene el mecanismo, habitual en España, que permita en caso de averia bajar a la planta inmediata inferior, abrir las puertas y salir a los ocupantes. Llamamos al teléfono de asistencia: Nadie contesta. Sale una grabación!. Llamamos a la alarma: Un empleado de mantenimiento (menos mal que eran las 17 h. porque en caso contrario no acudiria nadie) nos dijo que llamaba al técnico y que él no estaba habilitado para hacer nada!. Que esperaramos media hora. No habia cobertura telefónica en el interior tampoco. Estuvimos una hora esperando 8 personas como ”sardinas en lata” la llegada del deseado tecnico. Ante la tardanza e incerteza, decidimos salir por nuestros propios medios después de convencer al empleado que nos facilitara una escalera para salir forzando las puertas. Ninguna disculpa, satisfacción ni comentario por parte de los responsables del centro, que era lo mínimo deseable después del incidente . Me pregunto que hubiera pasado si esto hubiera sucedido pasadas las 19 h. cuando el centro se queda sin atención y el telefono de emergencia es una grabacion. Según se nos dijo no era la primera vez que esto sucedía, por lo que deberian revisar los protocolos de ese servicio, actualizar los mecanismos de la instalación y cambiar el servicio de asistencia OTIS. El resto de la estancia, adecuada.

Excelente recepción y disponibilidad del personal. Hotel muy bien situado en el centro de Biarritz (5 minutos a pie del océano-******, 2 minutos de las Halles, 1 minuto de la estación de shows). Habitación muy bien equipada con numerosas pequeñas atención (cajadora, té, café, secador de pelo, muñecas, minibar (en suplemento), kit de costura, algodón demaquilador, jabón, champú, después de champú, botella de agua...) ¡Literario muy cómodo! Ascensor Delicioso desayuno con una variedad de dulces y salados hechos en casa. Lugar tranquilo que invita al descanso. Libros y juegos disponibles. ¡Queremos volver a eso! Parking pagado en la calle o en parking subterráneo. Lugares gratis un poco más altos en la ciudad.

El hotel se veia bien en las fotos, pero el hotel real dista mucho de esas fotos. La puerta del ascensor, de acero inoxidable, pedia a gritos que la limpiaran, toda manchada y chorreada. La moqueta del pasillo, olia a sucio. El caudal de agua de la ducha, escaso y decir que vater estaba como en un armario, separado del baño. Las almohadas planas, el colchón duro. El papel de la pared del baño rasgado, no había enchufes en las mesitas de noche. La recepción decian que hablaban español, pero no era así. El picaporte de la habitacion 311, dañado, habia que hacer fuerza para entrar. Por 15 euros la noche, ofrecian parking, pero en lq acera del hotel, no en un garage bajo techo y con portón.Sin mencionar el desayuno de calidad paupérrima. En fin no tengo nada bueno para decir de este hotel, salvo la ubicación.

Nuestro cuarto, sólo estándar, era muy pequeño en realidad. Intenté actualizar, pero no había otra habitación disponible para nuestras dos noches. El problema principal fue el baño, donde mis rodillas tocaban la pared (sí!) cuando uso el baño, un gran fallo de diseño. No hay persona alta que pueda usar este baño sin gimnasia. ¡Instalar un baño más corto, o mover la pared seis pulgadas en el hogar! La habitación era muy caliente, pero no era suficiente, incluso después de ajustar el control de aire acondicionado. El hotel dispone de un ascensor que no tiene equipaje suficiente. En lugar de esperar por el ascensor, casi siempre en servicio, la mayoría de la vez lo he arrojado los cinco vuelos a nuestra habitación, o siete vuelos de la habitación de desayuno. El servicio era excelente. Fuimos capaces de obtener el servicio de lavandería del mismo día a un precio razonable. Si pagas por una habitación grande y no te importa tomar muchas escaleras, estarás feliz aquí.

Habitación y baño muy luminosos. Cama excelente y almohadas muy confortables. Desayuno variado y apetecible en un saloncito muy acogedor. Hay que tener en cuenta que, para acceder al hotel, hay que subir unos 8 ó 10 escalones. No hay rampa. El aparcamiento es lo complicado. Nosotros aparcamos en un aparcamiento público de pago cercano al hotel.

This should not be rated as four star The Good: Excellent breakfast - but pricey. Location with beach within 5 minutes walk and plenty of bars and restaurants. The Bad: Understaffed - only one person ever visible. Online check-in does not work - they still request a card guarantee There is no bar or restaurant or room service - a must for a four star hotel The rooms are tiny - even the so called 'privilege' rooms can only just take a king size bed Unless you are on the higher floors there is no beach or sea view. If you have a rear room, you overlook a carpark. There are only 2 lifts and no accessible stairs (fire door access only) and one was not working when I was there. It is very expensive for what you get. My advice is to look else where, check that the room size and hotel facilities are what you are looking for. There much better value hotels out there, even in and around Biarritz.

El hotel es un hotel agradable y con vistas a Biarritz, en un lugar conveniente. Nuestra experiencia es que son los hoteles que insisten en que espere hasta que justamente comprobe en el tiempo que invariablemente tienen problemas con sus habitaciones - esto no fue una excepción, después de que nos mantuvimos en la calle hasta 3: La habitación que se nos mostró tenía una puerta de balcón rota que no se abriría -es decir, golpes abiertos en el viento sustancial. La habitación era pequeña, la caja en el piso, lo que hace que el acceso sea muy difícil y el ducha más pequeño que he visto , doblando, girando en torno imposible, y no soy muy grande. La vista desde el pequeño balcón era espectacular - no está seguro si superó todas las deficiencias de la habitación.

Primer estadía en una residencia de Lagrange. Realmente nos gustaba la residencia los patios de Eugénie en biarritz. La residencia está muy bien situado cerca del centro de la ciudad, playa, ******, tiendas, autobús .... Le aconsejo tomar el estacionamiento imperativo en biarritz. El ascensor es muy conveniente y el precio del estacionamiento es razonable. El apartamento es amplio, muy bien equipado, limpio. Sólo un pequeño bemol una ducha sería agradable en el lugar o además del baño y se espera un nespresso en una residencia prestigiosa. La vista hacia atrás cortile/bañera no es la más bonita (da sobre un edificio no muy bien mantenido) pero garantiza la calma. ¡Muchas gracias al personal de una gran amable y disponibilidad. ¡Nos volveremos sin duda!

El hotel se veia bien en las fotos, pero el hotel real dista mucho de esas fotos. La puerta del ascensor, de acero inoxidable, pedia a gritos que la limpiaran, toda manchada y chorreada. La moqueta del pasillo, olia a sucio. El caudal de agua de la ducha, escaso y decir que vater estaba como en un armario, separado del baño. Las almohadas planas, el colchón duro. El papel de la pared del baño rasgado, no había enchufes en las mesitas de noche. La recepción decian que hablaban español, pero no era así. El picaporte de la habitacion 311, dañado, habia que hacer fuerza para entrar. Por 15 euros la noche, ofrecian parking, pero en lq acera del hotel, no en un garage bajo techo y con portón.Sin mencionar el desayuno de calidad paupérrima. En fin no tengo nada bueno para decir de este hotel, salvo la ubicación.

Instalaciones renovadas. Atención al publico solo hasta las 19 h. Bien ubicado cerca del centro y de la playa. No obstante tuvimos un incidente importante con el ascensor. Indica un máximo 8 personas y 630 kg. Subimos 8 personas con menos de 630 kg. El ascensor no tiene sensor de sobrepeso. El ascensor se detuvo entre dos pisos. Tampoco tiene el mecanismo, habitual en España, que permita en caso de averia bajar a la planta inmediata inferior, abrir las puertas y salir a los ocupantes. Llamamos al teléfono de asistencia: Nadie contesta. Sale una grabación!. Llamamos a la alarma: Un empleado de mantenimiento (menos mal que eran las 17 h. porque en caso contrario no acudiria nadie) nos dijo que llamaba al técnico y que él no estaba habilitado para hacer nada!. Que esperaramos media hora. No habia cobertura telefónica en el interior tampoco. Estuvimos una hora esperando 8 personas como ”sardinas en lata” la llegada del deseado tecnico. Ante la tardanza e incerteza, decidimos salir por nuestros propios medios después de convencer al empleado que nos facilitara una escalera para salir forzando las puertas. Ninguna disculpa, satisfacción ni comentario por parte de los responsables del centro, que era lo mínimo deseable después del incidente . Me pregunto que hubiera pasado si esto hubiera sucedido pasadas las 19 h. cuando el centro se queda sin atención y el telefono de emergencia es una grabacion. Según se nos dijo no era la primera vez que esto sucedía, por lo que deberian revisar los protocolos de ese servicio, actualizar los mecanismos de la instalación y cambiar el servicio de asistencia OTIS. El resto de la estancia, adecuada.

Muy conveniente muy bien situado para visitar Biarritz la cote basque y Capbreton Hossegor muy bien incluso cerca del aeropuerto sugiero probar el restaurante la carta y los vinos son muy buenos que no esperan una mesa o ser servido ... fue perfecto

I normally don't write reviews but this place was so subpar I have to warn other travelers. I specifically booked this room because it had air conditioning. When we got there, the air conditioner hissed, but no cold air came out. I alerted the staff and they said that they would fix it, and I even offered to switch rooms if it couldn't be fixed that day. The hotel clerk shook her head at my suggestion and said that it would be fixed. When we got back later that night, it clearly wasn't fixed and the staff refused to do anything about it. The blinds were so caked with dirty there was no way we were touching them. We stayed in a stuffy, hot room, and it ruined our experience of Biarritz. To make matters worse, there was a fly that was stuck in the room and buzzing around our heads all night long- not only gross, but couldn't sleep! The broken aircon wasn't the only thing wrong- the room was not clean- spiders and spiderwebs in the corners, dirty blinds, overall unsanitary conditions. Definitely avoid this place if you can!

We stayed in mid September, choosing this hotel from reading reviews, its quiet location and outside pool. Reception staff were all excellent, very friendly and helpful with suggestions and answers to our holiday questions. The hotel building is a stunning art deco design with a spectacular huge central atrium containing many sofas and tables, a bar area that leads into the restaurant area. We sat outside for breakfast ( weather permitting !) and the breakfast quality and varied selection of hot and cold food was superb. The golf room was lovely with views of the near-by golf course with countryside views in the distance. The room was a good size with an excellent bathroom, 2 basins, separate toilet,( + large flat walk-in shower). Lots of storage for clothes, a safe and fridge. Many room options in this hotel- the front facing sea- view rooms are brilliant for example. A large outside pool sunbathing area is an advantage for this hotel. The luxurious sun beds are the most comfortable we’ve used. The hotel location as reviews mention is at the top end of a very long hill from the centre. It takes about 10-15 minutes. 2 walking options; one is to walk along the main road path all the way or secondly to walk down the path for about 5 minutes then take one of the steep wide steps on the right of the main path down to the beach/ promenade and continue walking on a wide flat beach promenade all the way to the centre. ( one note - there is an area near the Hotel du Palais when the promenade goes under the hotel and where the waves come up to this path and the sea does make this part wet when the tide is high and sea is rough). The walk back uphill is a slow hard walk along the main road path or again use the flat promenade then take the steep steps up to the main road path again where you walk for the last 5 minutes to the hotel. The locals mostly cycle using electric bikes - you know why after walking around! There is an excellent free bus (N11) that stops outside the hotel and goes directly into the centre ( the return bus stop is outside too). It’s perfect except that it doesn’t run very late in evening. Getting the local taxis in Biarritz is near impossible - not many and they don’t always turn-up. Also they’ve resisted other competition from Uber etc ( even less of these & again not reliable) so that is a major negative for us in this town. We used the excellent buses and train services ( e.g. direct bus to Bayonne & train to Saint Jean de Luz) . The uphill location could be difficult for some people but the quiet location and the hotel facilities and proximity to the lovely walk to the lighthouse area close by are advantages to smaller central hotels. A luxury hotel with excellent staff. Highly recommended.

Habitación y baño muy luminosos. Cama excelente y almohadas muy confortables. Desayuno variado y apetecible en un saloncito muy acogedor. Hay que tener en cuenta que, para acceder al hotel, hay que subir unos 8 ó 10 escalones. No hay rampa. El aparcamiento es lo complicado. Nosotros aparcamos en un aparcamiento público de pago cercano al hotel.
