"Popped in for an afternoon drink in the bar, ended up booking a room ( we got lucky as they had one left!) and staying over for dinner. Everything was wonderful. Attentive, friendly staff. Fab food ( I had the fillet of sea bass) and a lovely large room with dual aspect sea views and a very comfy bed! Toiletries and plenty of tea/coffee in the room too. Good choice of breakfast options in the morning to finish off our little spontaneous stop over. Just top to tail perfect ."

"We stayed at Chestnut Meadows in one of the lodges for 6 nights, myself, husband and 13 year old son. The site is peaceful and secluded. Check in and out is easy, communication from the site via text messages was straightforward. As we were travelling a distance the fact we didn’t have to be there by a certain time to check in made the process stress free. The lodge itself was clean and comfortable and very spacious. The little box of basic cleaning supplies (small tube of washing up liquid, a couple of clothes and 3 dishwasher tablets) was welcome. The beds were comfortable with plenty of pillows. A freestanding bath with a handheld shower in the main bathroom and shower in the en-suite. Plenty of hot water. A decent amount of cooking utensils and plates and pans in the kitchen. The hot tub was obviously a big hit with my son! The gentleman came round regularly to check and manage the hot tube. We had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend the lodges. Thank you."

"Lipstick and rouge. On initial checkin, it looked ok. But we first noticed a spider, then lots of spider webs on one light. After removing the spider, we figured the bed was a little lumpy but nothing major. First night was initially quiet until the flat above came back. You can hear everything above. Walking around like you were in the basement of a farm house, voices… everything. So second night came back, found two very large spiders on the walls (talking full grown half a baseball sized spiders) killed them. Then put in ear plugs to sleep for the night. Several times woken by the loud banging of what i think was the opening and closing of doors. Though im not sure, then, after being unable to get back to sleep, removed the ear plugs to hear snoring from the room above. For the price paid, expected far more from this property. If those are not issues for you, then your good. Otherwise, you might want to go elsewhere. It was located in the heart of the town… "
