Pet- and tourist-unfriendly place. My latest experience very much resembled extortion. I was charged 100 euro for dog’s fur on the bedsheets and 150 euro for dog’s fur on the floor (the hotel representative had to put quite an effort into scraping some with her shoe) and an approx 0,5 mm brown-ish spot on the carpet which they claimed to be “blood” (considering that there was an approx 5 cm black stain on the carpet as of my checkin which hotel apparently didn’t see as something of an issue to me as a guest). I used to like this hotel (despite being placed on several occasions in rooms with obvious sewage issues), until I stayed there with my dog. I presented my dog at the reception at the checkin (that is the receptionist saw the dog). Paid 15 eur per day pet fee and proceeded to the room. No additional rules, policies or verbal requests were presented to me. My dog damaged a pouffe which I informed the hotel about at the checkout and happily paid whatever was asked of me (200 eur). In addition to that I was demanded to pay 100 eur for some fur on bedsheets and 150 eur for some fur on the floor as mentioned above. No oficial price list was presented. No explanation why 15 eur a day pet fee wasn’t covering washing blankets and vacuuming floor was provided, all my questions or logical arguments were ignored. The team of hotel representatives generously offered me a 50 eur discount on cleaning (which I didn’t ask for) only confirming that the amounts weren’t based on any actual price list, because if the hotel really suffered a loss of 250 eur why would they “gift” me 50 eur. I considered it to be an extortion and suggested to call the police. When I came back after 15 min the hotel still hadn’t called the police. As I had an urgent matter and had to leave, I paid the hotel whatever its staff demanded. I think what actually happened is the hotel staff had accidentally or recklessly placed us in a no-pet room (as there was a carpet, unlike in some other rooms. I was placed into that room after finding out the one I was initially given smelt of sewage - repeatedly happened before). And instead of charging their staff, they’ve charged me, so that they can do (if they actually do) for some deep cleaning after an animal to make it suitable again for people with allergies. Staff’s rudeness and ill attitude with me as a client weren’t in line with the hospitality filed’s even moderate standards. Most customers might find this hotel pleasant - which it is, until it is no longer.

Es wird mit Nachhaltigkeit geworben und man hat abgepackte Sachen bekommen. Das Personal kam nicht dazu ordentlich nachzulegen. Keine Becher, Messer , Eier…. Immer musste man nachfragen. Das Ei war dazu flüssig 🤮 142 Anmeldungen bei 42 Sitzplätzen. 🧐🧐🧐 Da ist jede Jugendherberge oder eine Pension besser bestückt. Wie kann man sich nur Hotel mit angeblichen ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ nennen. Dazu über 400 Euro für 3 Personen 🥲 Viel zu teuer für schlechten Service.🥲

We can recommend this hotel because of the convenient location in Dreilinden next to the motorway from Potsdam to Berlin and the 24 hour reception. This Ibis hotel is opposite the B&B hotel in Dreilinden. Parking is 3 euro's per day. Next to the hotel there is a gas station and an Mac Donalds. Our room on the ground floor was basic and some furniture was damaged. It was very quiet though and the beds were good. Checkin was easy and quick. That was what we were looking for. The hotel is about 15 minutes from the west part of Berlin.

Smallish rooms but ok for the price. We were on the courtside side so nice and quiet - although only a few rooms are on that side and the majority of rooms might be different. Air con is basically useless with zero cooling, coupled with rather stuffy rooms - I wouldn’t want to be there in a heatwave. Wi-Fi is patchy and too often won’t let you log on. Completely unacceptable is the total lack of any hot water for the last 36 hours with no public apology or even acknowledgment from the hotel. ”Strangely” - given the hot water experience - the promised email to leave a review on the hotel site hasn't arrived.

Staff were nice and pleasant. Good part of town with convenient transport links. Room was spacious and light. Able to open windows to a leafy quiet street. Style of interior isn't that of a super modern hotel.. it feels slightly dated but kept clean and tidy. Only bad points for me is the pungent stink coming from the bathroom, which I can only put down to old plumbing/drainage systems. A quite unbearable sulferous whiff which reached a highpoint in the morning 'showering' time... The aforementioned windows had to be opened wide. Apart from that it was fine, okay for a short stop Didn't partake in any of the dining or breakfast on offer

Pagamos en línea alrededor de 80 Euro por noche y tuvimos una habitación con tres camas en la parte de atrás. La habitación era limpia y sencilla. Un escritorio con TV de pantalla grande, una ducha con un baño y una lavadora. La ducha estaba bien, pero no nos gustaban las cortinas de ducha. También el agua sería caliente durante unos cinco minutos pero no nos molestó. Limpieza diaria con nuevos ropa interior y toallas. La mañana puedes tener desayuno pero tienes que pagar por ello. El hotel está situado en el centro de Berlín, cerca de la Kurfurstenstrasse y la Dam.

Hauswald me ha dado una buena idea de que no podía encontrar ninguna reserva. Entonces, aunque ya le he ofrecido una tarjeta de crédito en mi reserva, me pidió que le mostrase porque no creía que no fuera mía. Respondí que la tarjeta era mía y le ofrecía que le mirara, pero no tenía números en ella. Así que ella me pidió que escribira mis detalles de mi tarjeta de crédito, incluido el código CVV, en un papel como ”un seguro”. Un momento más tarde me ofreció el terminal POS para pagar por tarjeta, que indicaba una cantidad de 30 euros más que el precio que reservaba la habitación en este sitio. La Sra. Hauweld respondió de forma muy desrespetuosa que le pedí que incluya el desayuno y que la estaba confundiendo de nuevo. Después de esa situación, les pedí gentilmente que hablaran con ella. Ella respondió que no tenía supervisor y que era la única persona que trabajaba en el hotel durante todo el fin de semana. Sin embargo, a pesar de esta mala experiencia con ese personal, me gustaría señalar que los otros gestores de oficinas de frente fueron muy amables y útiles en todo momento.

El Estrel Berlin es un hotel impresionante. Las habitaciones son amplias y cómodas. El servicio es profesional y cortés. El desayuno buffet ofrece una amplia variedad de platos deliciosos. La ubicación del hotel es conveniente, cerca del transporte público y de las atracciones turísticas. En definitiva un hotel recomendable para una estancia agradable en Berlín.
