Valoraciones de Hotel New Tsuruta

I stayed in Beppu for 4 nights, trying different onsens at different hotels.Tsuruta was my last Beppu hotel. Although the room i stayed in is rather dated and items worn out, all necessary equipment are working very well, i stayed at a newer 4.5 star hotel prior and the air-conditioner, hair dryer and toilet exhaust were noisy and faulty, while in the older Tsuruta where everything works well! This don't judge a book by its cover, older hotels is just as good! I've attached a photo of the park and harbour view from my room at Tsuruta.

Good location and great breakfast. The room is old-fashioned but clean. Onsen is basic but does the job.

We stayed in ryokan Japanese style room. Hotel has an onsen bath to enjoy and relax. Room was very comfortable. Car parking was discounted

I stayed in a Japanese style room with futon. My stay was very comfortable. They have public bath for the hotel guest to use. There is a little parking fee to park at the coin parking lot next to the hotel.

The service was absolutely amazing and the beds were a nice little experience on how japanese people sleep on tatami mats. The best part was the hot spring, so relaxing 😌. Overall 4.8/5 stars 🤩

Good location

To begin with, the hotel is good in general. The hotel staff is friendly, the hotel location is good, there are many bus stops nearby, the sea, shopping malls, and the train station are close by. The breakfasts included in our reservation are excellent, quite tasty. The hotel has springs and showers, the towels are changed regularly, and you can rent yucatas for the duration of your stay for free. You can also request room cleaning (once every 3 days). The disadvantages include the fact that the hotel is a bit old. There is some dust in the rooms here and there, and our room had a moldy shower curtain and dusty ventilation grates. We didn't use the hairdryer in our room because it had some weird moldy-dusty stuff in it... The slippers provided in the room were very small and uncomfortable (my foot size is around 30 centimeters). Not really a problem, especially if you have your own ones, but still worth mentioning. Anyway, as I already said, the overall impression of the hotel is good.

Everything okay except hotel is rather old and the room has a musty smell. Breakfast is good.

Hotel is within walking distance to the JR train station where you can find plenty of food choices and some shopping. Great sea view from the hotel too.

The location is really good. Even though the booking system says it doesn't have parking, they do have free parking in front of the hotel. The room is pretty clean, but the hotel itself is very old. The bathroom is not refurbished, so we didn't use it at all. We just used the sauna to take a shower. The hotspring bath at the sauna is way too hot. While I was there, I didn't see anyone can stay inside for more than a second.

Really traditional Japanese hotel . Amazing people and delicious breakfast .

The room is a bit old. Onsen is nice. Buffet style breakfast is very good with lots of varieties.
