I rarely write reviews of holiday accommodations, but this time I simply couldn't resist sharing my experience. My wife and I traveled to Peñíscola to experience a total solar eclipse, perhaps the only one we will ever witness in our lifetime. We chose this hotel because of its proximity to what we thought would be an ideal observation point: the walls of the Templar castle in Peñíscola. However, the local authorities closed the site to visitors in anticipation of the influx of eclipse enthusiasts, and suddenly I found myself facing a serious problem: the eclipse would take place behind the mountains, below the horizon. And this is where the Owner of the wonderfully charming Hostal Dios Está Bien stepped in. I asked her for help, hoping for some useful local advice. What did I receive instead? An invitation to join her family in watching this extraordinary celestial event while sharing their family dinner! What began as a perfectly normal, albeit exceptionally warm, interaction with the hotel's staff evolved into something truly special. There was a bottle of surprisingly good wine waiting for us upon arrival, friendly conversations every time we met, and, in the end, family stories and photographs shared around the table. Never before have we experienced such openness and kindness, and I truly feel that we have gained new friends. Thank you. We sincerely hope that one day we will have the opportunity to return your extraordinary hospitality. And all of this took place in a small, charming, beautifully maintained hotel, housed in a historic building in the heart of Peñíscola, where delicious homemade breakfasts are served every morning. I wish everyone could have an experience like this.

La ubicación del hotel es muy buena, justo enfrente de la playa, perfecta para ver el amanecer temprano en la mañana. El hotel es muy nuevo y las habitaciones están limpias. No hay nevera ni hervidor. Quizás hace más frío en la playa. Hay un estacionamiento subterráneo enfrente, y parece que no hay problema para estacionar casualmente al costado de la carretera. Me olvidé de comprar el desayuno el primer día, pero cuando lo compré al día siguiente me lo entregaron al precio predeterminado, lo cual fue muy lindo.

Buena ubicación , desayuno y cena buenos. La unica pega que pondria es que la cama diria regular tirando a incomoda, por lo demás una buena estancia con el lujo de estar delante del mar.

The hotel is modern and new and just sea front we had booked room with terrace so we thought that we would have sea view room but there was no sea view, only next building. Apart from this everything was ok

Bonito hotel con piscina. Cerca de la playa y del bulevar, pero no me gustó la zona de la playa ya que era menos atractiva en comparación con f.e. *****reajuste salarial

Hotel muy cómodo y completo. No está totalmente en el centro pero para moverte por la zona está muy bien. Muy completo

Todo muy bien, el desayuno muy variado, la piscina y la animación muy bien. Hotel tranquilo al estar algo alejado del centro de Peñiscola.

Very good overall. Perfectly adequate apartment. Much more spacious than the pictures do it justice. Exceptional value for the price. Pro's- Grounds maintained immaculately, large pool, 5 mins walk to centre of town and large supermarket. Two balconies/terraces facing different directions. Very friendly service at check-in and out. Con's- Shower head holder and toaster need replacing. Possible lack of parking if the place was full. No actual allocated spot. Would return
