Loved everything about Anantara Desaru, the service, the designs, the private beach and the F&B is excellent. The staffs are friendly and warm and we really feel like home. Certainly loved to be back again! Thank you for having us!

Well maintained property with nice gardens and pool. Beach area is private. Waters are not very suitable for swimming

We booked this hotel for birthday celebration and were given a free upgrade from Garden Room to Sea Facing Room (1 level higher but everything else the same) during check-in. The gesture was appreciated but the upgraded room (room no 228) was a mess especially the wifi! Dangling a/c control panel, dirty wall, chipped marble, chipped basin, cracked ceiling panel around toilet light, spoilt temperature control button on hair dryer, chipped toilet window wood panel, dirty cushion on balcony chair, weak wifi and can’t do chromecast! This is worst! We called reception to repair the wifi/chromecast issue since 6.30pm and the technician came and out to take stairs and the waiting took so long and he came back again around 7.30pm. Around 8pm, we couldn’t wait for it anymore and left the room for dinner. We came back around 9+pm and no notes left for us whether the issue was resolved. My husband’s phone can connect to the Chromecast then but the signal was so so weak. Keep disconnecting from wifi plus the mobile line was also very bad. We didn’t bother to ask again cause it’s a waste of our time. Breakfast spread was good the next morning. But our room cards couldn’t access the room after breakfast, my husband got to walk all the way to reception to change and walked back but it can’t work again! Oh gosh! The staff came with him the second time to reset the door access using master key. We were very angry because for the price we paid for this room, the service was so bad and really not worth the price at all!

I visited MCO not long ago. The service and facilities were excellent at that time, but they have declined a bit now, especially the breakfast food. But the environment is still as good as ever

It was a short and sweet stay at Anantara Desaru Coast. Room is very clean and spacious enough for my husband and I. Would love to come back and stay longer next time. Thank you Anantara!

My short staycation with my familiy before the school starts. Almost 1 year we did not stay here due to some previous experiences during my wife pregnancy but as we've missed so much the place we booked again and we had a great time there.

Awesome stay at Anantara Desaru and location is right on the beach, the view is awesome and room is spacious.

Wonderful service and cleanliness. Can improve on activities for teens and children. E.g. netball court, beach volleyball, archery, bowling, beach ATV etc. Also a nature trail would be nice. The pools are wonderful. The food at Turmeric is good however, the portions is a little big for kids eg the laksa johor and creme brulee. but salt/sea/fire is too expensive for kids. The seafood bouillabaisse has too little ingredients.

Anantara is amazing! What we like: Huge, scenic pools. Expansive grounds. Helpfulness of staff Turn down service. Mini pantry. Comfy bed. Huge toilet, deep tub. Clean room. Personalised notes. Decor according to season. Kids club. Teens club. Cleanliness of the whole resort. We also love the beach, picking seashells, the bath salts and soaps provided, and the beginner birdwatching activity. Guide was knowledgeable, kind and helpful. What we didn’t like: Not sheltered carpark Quite pricey to pay for an extra child Hard to go out into room balcony because of the flies, mosquitoes and lizards outside. We didn’t want them in the room. Overall a superb experience. Do try!

BEST 3D2N SPENT! From the time we reached till we check out, everything was seamless & service was beyond words. We were greeted with kompang by their excellent staff. Took them about 15 - 20 minutes to prepare our keys & deposit of 500rm by cash. If by credit card will be RM1k. The view while waiting for our keys was amazing. Light snacks was given while waiting. Definitely an experience here. Worth every penny. The best experience by far. The service is really on top. I dont know how describe but i will forever remember this place. Thank you so much Anantara!

Nice resort with excellent service. Not much to do in Desaru though. Just to enjoy the resort facility. The have free classes to join too. Recommended
