Tamarind Exclusive Villa

Pros : The property is good and well maintained and staff is helpful . Food is a mixed bag . Day 1 the meat was not cooked well however on day 2 they made up with better tasting food ..however the quantity was 50 more than what we could eat...I guess because Day 1 was a bit lesser . Great for kids as well for cycling , Ping pong and swimming . Cons : We had a bad exit from the property due to their Manager - Mr Phillip . The amplifier got fused at night - and he was trying to charge us Baht 2000/- as damages . He was trying to explain that was because of the volume - unfortunately his body language also was not befitting hispitality person . We tried explaining to him nicely - that look we did not “ break “ the amplifier but it got fused ...had we broken the speakers due to large volume we would have happily paid . He just refused to understand our logic and kept arguing till I put my foot down ...is when he agreed to waive the charges . His choice of words also was incorrect ..using the word we broke the amplifier ..he said things like it’s a small amount 2000 baht how does it matter for the hotel or is ..and at the same time kept demanding the money from us . We repsectfully tried to explain to him ..the principle is wrong ..if Ac or Fan or tv fuses is it our mistake ..?? But somehow he was on a mission to extract this money from us at all costs ....whilst we eventually did not charge us as we refused to pay ...this left a very bad taste in our mouth ..na druined a perfectly good holiday otherwise . Phillip was very keen to make a good first impression is his words ...but he forgot ...the last impression what he leaves is what the customer takes back ...and after paying more than 47000/- baht plus a generous tip of 3000 baht ..we felt we were being treated like some cheap ***** avoiding to pay ... Moral of the story : We were planning to come end of May and book even a bigger villa their 9 bedroom villa ..we don’t think we will be going there anything soon...for a mere 2000 baht he lost perhaps 3 good customers ...and more ! What was achieved ?? The jury is still out there ...you can Make your own decision ....
