"We(locals) booked this place as this is a beachfront hotel with good reviews. We booked 1 month in advance (25th Aug) & paid the total amount (USD80 for DBL B&B) as well. But less than 1 week from the day of arrival(28th Sep), they called & informed that they have mistakenly overbooked the hotel and can't accommodate us anymore. I find this highly suspicious as the booking is done via their website, which shows the availability of the rooms. Some hotels tend to do this when they receive a large group of tourists. They tend to cancel the local's booking to accommodate tourists when it was the locals who helped them during the pandemic & economic crisis. They suggested some of their own places as compensation, but those were subpar compared to this place, so we refused ( USD 30 : USD 80) Anyway, i would not recommend this place to anyone, especially if you are a local."

"Great experience here with a group of 17 family members. Staff were super and did everything we asked of them. The lift was a little noisy as it stopped at each floor which was a bit irritating and when I reported it to management, they had the very next day a team of technicans call to the Hotel and sort it all, brilliant service. Thanks to Yuri and Haroon in particular for looking after us so diligently, a great team of people working in this Hotel!"

"We’ve stayed twice at Surf Gangs. It’s a great place. Location is perfect. Rooms are very simple with a kind of industrial minimalist vibe. Pool & garden are fabulous. I just wish the room had a mini fridge & tea/coffee making. We will definitely return, look forward to the renovations."

"Las habitaciones eran cómodas, pero los baños necesitan una reforma, ya que algunas no tenían agua caliente y olían mal. Habíamos reservado cuatro habitaciones, y de ellas, dos tenían mal olor en los baños. Por lo demás, todo estuvo bien y con una buena relación calidad-precio. El personal fue muy amable y nos ofreció zumos de fruta y café/té gratis. El desayuno estuvo estupendo. Nos lo pasamos bien y nos hubiera gustado que se hubiera quedado un poco más. Fue solo una noche. La ubicación del hotel es fantástica. Sin duda, volveremos."

"A lovely resort with great customer service. The people running the resort could not do enough to ensure we had an enjoyable stay. The location is a short walk from the beach and restaurants. The It was in a nice quiet area. The rooms were really good and the shower one of the best we experienced in Sri Lanka. There was some building work taking place but we were told about this before we stayed. We didn’t use the pool but it looked great. Once the work has been completed the place will be fantastic, especially for families. I would definitely recommend and would love to return."

"El propietario es un gran bluff y un mentiroso. nos quedamos allí por 3 días por reserva. No recibimos una factura al pagar y canceló la reserva cuando fuimos a poner el dinero de la reserva en su bolsillo. También tuvimos que pagar 25 euros en impuestos por 3 días. Cuando lo llamamos más tarde, se mantuvo desconectado. ¡Definitivamente no recomendado!!!! Mucha elección en la zona"
