The Cooks Oasis

Great place to stay, were in a two person studio,comfortable quite clean room,Great shower good fridge two ring cook top. Great helpful friendly hosts. Great lagoon for on sight kiaks. Good restaurants on both sides and others within walking distance. Only 10 mins to big super market and main shopping.

Had a very relaxing time when we stayed. Marianne and Wai were amazing, very helpful and made our stay special. Our room was small but was clean and well equiped for us to self cater. Would suggest installing air con in room to make more comfortable

First time to the Cook Islands, and we stayed at cooks oasis in a 1 bedroom villas with our 2 children. The room was idea for us, plenty of space and really convenient having a kitchenette with a big fridge and a microwave etc. Matty, Erin and Marianne were all so helpful and accomodating, we made use of the free kayaks and laundry. We loved walking down to the beach each day, the snorkelling out the front was excellent! Great food trucks are close by with good food and coffee. kids loved hanging out with a couple of the local dogs who were very friendly! Overall we had a wonderful time and can’t wait to go back!

We had a wonderful relaxing 9-day visit to Rarotonga and highly recommend The Cooks Oasis as a great accommodation choice. The team at the Cooks Oasis (Marianne, Erin, Matty and Wise) ensured we had an excellent experience by suggesting great activities in particular, Ariimoana Walkabouts and diving with turtles with Go Local Cook Islands. We ate at some superb restaurants on their recommendations. Our villa was well-equipped with everything we needed for our stay. We enjoyed the pool and seating area in between swimming in the lagoon, which was a 2-minute walk away from our villa. The tropical foliage surrounding the villas is stunning and adds to the relaxing ambience we experienced. Thank you again to the Cooks Oasis team, cheers Sharron

While travelling the Cook Islands I stayed at 7 different accommodations, ranging from self-contained villas, to hotel rooms and studios. Without a doubt, The Cooks Oasis was my absolute favourite 🏝️ Matty & Erin are two of the most welcoming and warm people I have met. I was travelling alone as a young female and I felt instantly comfortable, safe and at home. They made sure I had everything I needed during my stay. They have a little brochure they give you at reception with recommendations of their favourite spots, as well as a map with places marked and the bus timetable. This was extremely helpful and thoughtful! The rooms are beautiful and comfortable, styled like a true island oasis. The kitchen and bathroom have all the basics you could need. The accommodation also has a DVD library which is a really sweet touch and a laundry for guests to use. The air conditioning in the room is not overly strong, especially in the heat of the day. This did not bother me at all, however, if you are someone who struggles with heat you may want to consider this. I stayed in Villa 6 which I was very happy with it. As it was upstairs it seemed to have a bit more privacy and seclusion, than some of the ground-level ones I walked past. The Villas are all quite close to each other and one night I was kept awake by noise from neighbours who'd had one too many. Matty & Erin were very efficient in speaking with the guests and apologising to me, the issue couldn't have been dealt with better. The Cooks Oasis is a very quick, less than 1-minute walk to the beautiful beach. I found this section of the island to be the least windy and therefore the most pleasant all day!

Marty and Erin make you feel welcome the moment you walk into the place. Friendly, caring and pleased to welcome you all sets you up for a terrific stay. Nothing is too much trouble and they maintain a spotless group of cabins which just cry out ..’relax’. And you do. Fully self catering if you do that sort of thing with external BBQ area if you want. Lovely pool and chill out area adds to the ambience. A very short walk down to the beautiful lagoon and paradise is here. Can’t recommend this home from home enough. Enjoy and chill.
