We checked out the hotel in May on another holiday. We were very impressed with pool and location. We decided to book and was not disappointed. We have been holidaying in Zante on and off for over 10 years and I can honestly say, that the Pappilon met all our needs. All the staff were so helpful and friendly . The breakfast had just enough choice to please most people. Can't wait to go back next year.

The place is a gem. Ably ran by a professional but friendly team who cant do enough for you. Central to the town, with ample bars and restaurants to serve every need and taste. Don't miss Solesea across the road. A hidden gem but wont be for long, I suspect.

Having visited other Greek islands we were underwhelmed by Zakynthos in general and Argassi in particular: just 2 roads of souvenir shops, car/quad rentals, tour operators and restaurants all offering pretty much the same menu. No beach to speak of and difficult to get in and outof the sea due to all the sea****. However the Papillon gave us exactly what we wanted - a relaxing week in the sun in a clean, quiet and comfortable hotel. We had a great room, 412 overlooking the pool which had a lounge area as well as bedroom and balcony. The hotel seems to have been recently renovated so ignore the old photos. All the staff are so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good though I would have liked more fresh fruit. Would be happy to stay here again if somewhere else. Restaurants we'd recommend: Charlie Chaplin, the Green Frog and Peppermint.

A great family-run hotel right in the centre of Argassi. Very centrally located - but surprisingly little noise from the surrounding traffic and people due to the 'courtyard' style of the hotel. Spotlessly clean, most areas recently refurbished. Breakfast choices were pretty basic, but really good. What really takes it to another level is the staff here - every single member of staff that we encountered was nothing less than excellent. This is how hospitality really ought to be. The young guy who looks after the dining area at breakfast service deserves particular mention - even at the end of a long season of very long days, he was doing a fantastic job with a smile. Only two very small criticisms. The music being played in the bar area during the day (and especially the TV commentary when a football match was on the screens) was a bit intrusive for those spending time around the pool - if I wanted music instead of peace and quiet I'd have put my headphones on and played my own. Also, the rooms could do with some more storage/hanging space - drawers in the bedrooms, and hanging rails/hooks for clothes and towels in the bathrooms.

This is a lovely family run hotel with lots going for it. With this being our first stay at this hotel, we would definitely recommend it for its comfort and location being one of its best features. Staff are helpful and friendly it's quite at night and throughout the day with people respecting other guests' holidays needs.

This hotel deserves another star just for the staff, so hard working and always smiling, my baby granddaughter loved all the fuss they made of her, could have done with baby changing facilities in the toilets around the pool but it wasn't a problem. Rooms were immaculate but be warned the price for air con is steep, I didn't want to pay for it but my son went behind my back. I had a room overlooking the pool and it was large (room 418), and quiet whilst my son and his family were in 312 which was very noisy at night and it overlooked the garden but they are young and didn't mind. The hotel is very centrally located and handy for shops and the beach. I can thoroughly recommend the Jeep Safari from Michaels a couple of doors down from the hotel I went on my own and had a blast. All in all I would recommend the Pappilon great staff, clean rooms and the breakfast choices were than enough

Lovely 11 day holiday. 3rd time in argassi and Our 2nd time staying here and glad we came back Found all the staff to be helpful, friendly. Hotel in great location in argassi, close to everything you need. Room was basic but nice and clean with big walk in shower, beds were twins but comfy enough to sleep, quiet at night too which was great. Only downside to room is not enough wardrobe space, only one small area for clothes which was not enough for us both, so i lived out of case. Room has air con and safe at extra cost. Breakfast was very nice, lots of choice and nice and hot, and am a fussy eater but lots of choice. The pool area is clean and spacious with plenty of beds, never rushed to get a bed in morning , although still get the usual people putting towels down early. Pool was nice, but needed bit of a clean, and was very cold, but ok once in after a min. Enjoyed our stay, and would recommend this hotel .

Fantastic September holidays with family!! The location is super , just one step from the center of the resort. Very clean rooms, excellent breakfast and a very big pool . All staff amazing, our little ones love them We will definitely come back Thank you all.
