Badia di Pomaio

The hotel is a 15-20 minute drive up from Arezzo. Road a bit treacherous in places but the view astonishing from the beautiful infinity pool & rooms. The staff are more than welcoming and courteous. Inside the tastefully styled renovated monastery fragrance drifts through and around every corner. Room simply furnished and spotless with frequent invisible room service. Small pretty aromatic veg/flower garden and the most butterflies we have ever seen. Whilst breakfast delivered the best tasting croissants ever and delicious fresh choices, the dinner experience left us very disappointed and we felt very over charged. We have had a lot better for half the price and a Michelin star. It was the only disappointment during our stay and very sadly we chose to eat out after this.

This is the most perfect hotel. Perched up on the hill above Arezzo with wide views this beautifully appointed hotel provided us with a very special and relaxing two night stay during a France/Italy road trip. The charming staff provided the most attentive and friendly service. Our room was extreme comfortable. Lunch and dinner were delicious. We were even lucky enough to be able to enjoy some warm October sunshine by the pool. To be highly recommended.

Great private getaway in the mountains above Arezzo town region. High end hotel finished to high standards underpinned by great team / staff were very helpful and obliging, great service. Accommodation was first class and spacious. Highly recommended.

Awesome estate and peaceful grounds for our honeymoon. The staff was amazing, attentive and very friendly. The front desk team and Davide were very helpful in organising any trips or bookings, Mario was amazing at the wine tasting and restaurant - and the whole team complimented this lovely stay wonderfully.

Everything about this place is beautiful...the garden, the view, the pool, the room, the food. Absolutely loved it, this is one of those hotels where the reality is better than the pictures....Amazing get-away with super friendly staff !

Mario, our enthusiastic and attentive waiter, ensured every meal was a delightful experience. Rosa's warmth and infectious smile made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Francesca, Davide, Antonio, and Lorenzo, the front of house team, were incredibly friendly and accommodating throughout our entire stay, attending to our needs with grace and efficiency. The culinary delights prepared by the talented chefs were exquisite, and each dish was a true work of art. The pool and gardens added to the charm of this enchanting retreat, providing a serene escape amidst nature's beauty. In conclusion, our time at Badia di Pomio exceeded all expectations. Absolutely magically beautiful very private property on the top of the heel with amazing views. Exceptional check in and service. Very spacious, and smartly designed rooms with adorable decor and high end toiletries. Plenty of closet place. Delicious quality food from morning to evening. Some items are home made from the hotel’s garden. Yelena and the team (Mario,David and Rosa to name a few) are so welcoming and warm, you feel like you are visiting your relatives. In the meantime it’s a very private and quiet place where you can have full relaxation without being bothered by crowds or noise. Will miss this special place and the best service.
