B&B Il Porticciolo di Amalfi

This place by far was the best choice we made, the views, right, outside our front door, where amazing and being welcomed by Anna our housekeeper/Hostess every morning was delightful! It was such a simple, but delicious breakfast. I especially loved her croissants and the marinated ricotta cheese with tomato. Getting down to the main Square was about 189 steps but after the first couple of times, I think we were used to it and actually good exercise working off all the pasta we ate! The water taxis are located right below our room, which was easy to get to. If ever I visit Amalfi again I would definitely come back to this exact place.

If you're staying in Amalfi, I would say you could do not better that this. Mena was a wonderful host, and the breakfast on the terrace in the morning with that view was a delight. Just note that which ever way you choose to make your way up/down, there's well over a 100 steps, which in the heat does sap your energy.

Probably should get in line 15 min before they open- the food is fabulous, service really great and gelato, the best. We had the fresh fish and veggies w a Margarita Pizza as an appetizer, it was pure Heavenly!

The location is great. The stairs are brutal with a suitcase, but I knew about that going in so I can't knock the place. The views for breakfast were great. Check-in was a mess, the host said someone would meet us at the dock, but no one showed. The host does not belong in customer service. I asked if we could have breakfast at 7 so we could have an early start and she told us we would have to make our own breakfast. She insisted breakfast should be at 8:30. Other hosts on the same trip had no issues with this request. She made us two eggs for a family of four. When we asked for more she said "ok, but this is your last one". She seemed impatient with us, like she had better things to do.

Como todas as construções na região, o prédio é bastante antigo. Dito isto, optamos por uma hospedagem com vista, mesmo sabendo do inconveniente da subida, o que não chegou a ser um problema para nós, mesmo com malas. O quarto era limpo, climatizado e razoavelmente confortável. A cama, os travesseiros e o chuveiro eram bem bons. Sugiro aos proprietários providenciar mais prateleiras e gavetas no roupeiro pois não foi possível acomodar os pertences de um casal em viagem por 2 semanas. O mesmo vale para o banheiro, que não tem nenhum balcão para apoio de produtos de higiene pessoal. O café da manhã é controverso: o LOCAL é magnífico pela sua vista, mas deixa muito a desejar em relação à quantidade, à qualidade e à agilidade do serviço. Considerando a vista, a localização e o orçamento (tenha em mente que tudo é muito oneroso por lá), mesmo a par dos inconvenientes citados, eu consideraria voltar a me hospedar nesse hotel, mas certamente optaria pelo café da manhã em outro local. Na saída, descobrimos uma cafeteira de preço bem honesto próxima ao ponto de taxi, na beira da praia. Dicas (de ouro): 1. Nenhum transporte chega na porta do hotel. O local mais próximo é uma rotatória antes do túnel, insista para te deixarem nesse lugar pois economiza alguns degraus de subida. 2. Tickets para passeios de barco podem ser comprados com antecedência no site da Alicoast, não há muitas opções. 3. Próximo ao porto, mais à direita, há uma pequena locadora de carro e scooter, da simpática Dina, que não consta em nenhum guia. É possível deixar o veículo alugado estacionado ali durante a noite sem custo adicional, caso haja espaço (tivemos sorte).

Camera molto ampia e con una bellissima vista. Posizione strategica. Terrazza stupenda. Però la colazione …… un consiglio per migliorare spendendo molto poco: perché il pane tostato del Mulino Bianco? Non sarebbe meglio il pane fresco tutte le mattine ??? Siamo in Campania su 😊 se offrite le marmellate fatte in casa (e le vostre sono davvero squisite ) perché rovinarle con un pane dozzinale? Cornetti buoni ma perché anche qui non portate quelli freschi invece di quelli surgelati? Caffè …portate una bella moka con caffè caldo per ogni tavolo e fidatevi farete un figurone !!!

Camera Grecale, ampia, spaziosa, luminosa e con vista sul mare spettacolare. Bagno grande e con il necessario (forse servirebbe un po' più di cura della cabina doccia). Per il resto, non è in centro, ma ci sono 165 scalini da fare, che sul sito non vengono assolutamente descritti. Colazione non assortita per niente: mancava assolutamente la parte salata e la frutta. Discorso macchina. Lasciata a due perfetti sconosciuti che l'hanno portata via (imponendo di guidarla loro) e riportata in maniera molto frettolosa e a tratti anche maleducata, senza rilasciare alcun foglio scritto o ricevuta o accettando pagamento con bancomat o carta. Sicuramente torneremo in Costa Amalfitana ma non in questa "struttura"
