At Maristan Tarihi Konak, the staff's warmth and genuine hospitality extended beyond the doors of the hotel. They not only made our stay comfortable but also acted as knowledgeable guides, suggesting must-visit places and hidden gems to explore in the city. Everything was perfect. Staff were so helpful from the time of check-in until departure. The main street is near by to all the amazing shops and restaurants. Lovely ancient city with beautiful sunset views. Highly recommend.

This hotel is exceptional as it is not only beautiful and carries the architectural signs of the city, but it is also opened by 3 young university friends all of whom are incredibly kind and helpful. We had a special bond with them and our stay was very comfortable. Its beautiful terraces give you a fantastic view of the Mesopotamia plain. I am very thankful!

I arrived at the hotel late in the evening, and I was greeted by Idris, who wanted to make sure I was able to get dinner at one of the Mardin restaurants before they closed. He escorted me up the many steps to ensure that I found my way (no way that I would have otherwise). This hotel provided all that I needed, but the real asset here was the staff, who went out of their way to be good ambassadors for Mardin and to make sure their guests enjoyed their visit. Idris, Amin, Fahrad, and Zaid (please excuse any spelling errors) all took their jobs seriously and were wonderful hosts. I stayed three nights and will stay here again if I ever return to Mardin. The hotel is on the lower part of old Mardin, so many steps are involved to get to the main section of old Mardin, so be prepared for some exercise.

If you have never been to Mardin or stayed in a locale with such rich history then accommodation such as this will blow you away. This boutique hotel is the former residence of a Jewish family and our hotel room was their former private chapel/synagogue. The bathroom is a bit of an odd retro-fit in the former synagogue (with moderate privacy for those who like maximum privacy) and my overall experience is great. Staff were very friendly and accommodating.

i was in a historic room with good air conditioning and facilities. The hotel breakfast was outstanding and there was nothing that the friendly staff would not do to help. take their offer of a taxi pick up at the airport. The vies from the terrace are spectacular

This was our favorite hotel on our trip to Southern Turkey. The staff was very kind and the rooms were lovely. The view from the upper terrace is really fantastic. The location is good - close to the market and the grand Mosque. However, if you do not handle stairs well, this is not the hotel for you. Cars cannot get to the hotel and everywhere we went seemed to be uphill. The shower was good, but only lukewarm water. I would definitely recommend the hotel with these caveats.
