Mirachoro Albufeira

This was our third time staying at the Mirachora Albufeira. The pool had been made much better and lovely seating and flowers in the garden area. The staff are very helpful and Friendly. It is very clean and the rooms are spacious. We are already looking forward to returning next year. Our happy place.The whole team were pwonderful.

Stayed for 2 weeks, apartment was extremely clean & I would highly recommend 10/10.. There’s a swimming pool, & another pool in the hotel area. Manuel is the bar manager, a lovely guy, well into Formula 1.. Staff are very friendly. There’s a shop nearby that sells most things, required for a self catering holiday.. It’s in a lovely quiet part of Albufeira, only a 10 minute walk from Santa Eulalia, & another short walk to the main *****..🌴🌞

Had a fabulous stay in this hotel. The staff were fabulous. All of them. All the scare stories, on the reviews made me want to cancel. I am so glaad we didn't! The tiny things that need improving to us were: the old wardrobe doors had to be lifted before they could open. I gave in and put my dresses on the coat hooks in the entrance way! A bath safety mat was procured by the Manager as soon as soon as he was told of my difficulty into climbing into the bath/shower. The transfer buses do not run past the reception (they did when we were dropped off), yet on a cold and wet day we had to drag our cases to a place up the hill. No cover and wet through. The driver and manager came like knights in shining armour. Just a thought but if its really necessary to pick people up away from the hotel, couldn't it be from somewhere warm & dry no matter what the weather? The shuttle bus to the beach and Old Town is a blessing. A great time was had by us both. Thankyou to all the staff for a memorable stay.

Had a decent time, I wouldn't rush back. Certain bar staff at the hotel need to learn people skills, rude at best. Generally a decent hotel clean and comfortable. Could be noisey on occasion due to the tiled hallways.

Some hits and some misses at Mirachoro for me! Positives: Spacious rooms Balcony a bonus Comfy beds Good AC unit in room Negatives: Check in took forever! We sat and sat to be told ‘a few more minutes’, hours later they checked us in. Dated rooms Basic bar food A wee bit far out It absolutely did the job though. There was nothing terribly wrong with it, but I’d imagine there are nicer, more accommodating hotels nearby.

We are just home from a beautiful holiday in this little haven. It was our 5th time staying there and hope to go again next year . The staff are the kindest most respectable people . On reception Lionel and Raphael always greeted you with a big smile and were always ready to help. Marcus on the bar was a gentleman. It's a very quiet complex and guests were all returning guests who we happen to have met on previous occasions quite by accident. We are very much looking forward to our next visit.

Room was a good size, it’s self catering but we really didn’t cook at all other than bean or egg on toast. Equipment is pretty basic but there is a microwave, toaster, kettle and 2 ring hob. Bathroom was clean with a bath and a shower. Water was hot. Rooms a little dated but it was ok for what we paid and for how long we spent in there. To be picky the bed was far too hard for me but it’s very difficult to cater for everyone’s preference. I actually ended up spending the week on the sofa in the living area which was a bit comfier. Bar and outside area near the pool was the only bar open though there is a bigger area as well which I think is more used in season. The pool area was nice, my main issue is that the pool was absolutely freezing and therefore I didn’t use it but it was clean and other people who were happy to brave the cold water did use it. The food at the bar was really nice. The staff in general were lovely and helpful on most occasions. Possibly one member of staff who I would question why on earth he works in hospitality. However the others make up for it, I’m not going to be naming names. Location is pretty good and ia only a 10 minute walk from the ***** with all the nightlife but far enough away not be able to hear it. We got an Uber to the Old Town was about €4.60 and an Uber to the Marina for a boat trip was not much more. Check in and out was pretty seamless.

Reception is very welcoming on the eye and staff are very receptive. The rooms themselves could quite easily accommodate 6 x adults, however there is only 1 x bedroom. The studio flat has properly not been modified for over 30 years with a simple whitewash of the woodchip walls each year will suffice. The room comes complete with microwave/ toaster/2 x ring cooker/kettle and a fridge to take the pressure off eating out each night. Location of the hotel is very remote/hilly with taxis required each way to get to and from Albufeira. Finally the pool was probably the worst i had seen in over 20 x years of travel with no obvious filter evident. Overall for the price this hotel is a no frills guaranteed sunshine bargain!

Well what can I say ……Was dreading it to be honest because of the awful reviews.This is a honest review.Hotel located about 1.3miles from old town and about 15 min walk to new town.Arrived easy check in (no deposit required) Room was spacious and had everything you needed.Rooms cleaned everyday.Towels replaced nearly everyday but if you saw the maids the would give you clean ones.As for Marcus couldn’t of asked for a nicer man very helpful….don’t listen to the bad mouthers treat him how you would want to be treated.All other staff are great.Curious bus every day to old town timers 10am 2pm and 4 pm from hotel and 20 past the hour to back to hotel.Can’t wait to book for next year.You won’t be disappointed.(my review was for wk commencing 28th September don’t know what it would be like height of season)
