En realidad se trata de una residencia de estudiantes que se utiliza como hotel durante el periodo vacacional y que se atiende, en su mayor parte, por estudiantes. Asi pues las habitaciones estan pensadas para residir en ellas y se nota que se utilizan con mucha asiduidad. Los complementos de baño se limitan a un bote de gel. En definitiva muy limitado. En cuanto a la atención del personal, pues lo comentado, se trata en su mayor parte de estudiantes que ponen cierto interés, islandes, pero que se limitan a hacer lo que pueden. Buen ejemplo la hora del desayuno que se convirtió en un caos por la escasa presencia de personal que solucionará la falta de alimentos con la coincidencia de dos grupos. El comedor, como todas las instalaciones, está pensado para estudiantes con mas mesas para 8 personas que para 4 lo que cual, en época de covid, dificulta todavía más la comodidad.

Good hotel The bar at the reception has seats inside and outside and it was always almost empty. The breakfast is very good, buffet has wide choice but beware the hotel is big and at the start of the breakfast there is a queue for about 20 minutes. So you either come 10 min earlier or in 20 minutes. Clean and spacious enough rooms. Some with basins, some - without. I guess there are en-suite bathrooms as well, but we stayed in rooms with shared facilities done the corridor. Different floors have different capacity and sometimes their is a queue. Location is very convenient - about 10 minutes walk to the centre of the city. Plenty of free parking on site.

Located a little ways from the main roads is this nice full service hotel. There are two parts to this hotel. The older section is with shared bath and the newer building with private bathrooms. I stayed in the older part and I was satisfied with both the room and the toilet and shower facilities., The rooms are reasonably priced. The 24 hour staff is nice and helpful. It is easily accessible for handicapped people, There is adequate parking lot. The breakfast is very good. An added plus is the very good Akureyi Botanical Gardens located on the far end of the parking lot,

Likely an odd occurrence but the buildings alarms went off about five times between the hours of midnight and 2am which lead to a restless sleep. Hotel staff were not great in communicating nor provided an answer the following morning. Otherwise a fine place and decent location.

Nice modern and clean hotel. It’s almost a suite with microwave and a fridge. Very spacious. Most of all, the location is very convenient. A few minutes walk to the church, botanical garden, and downtown. No need to drive to go to downtown.

Stayed in the old part of building. Terrible cleaning off the room. Big chunks of dust on the floor, and they dont clean under the beds.. We contacted the desk downstairs, and someone came and "cleaned" the room.. When we got back inn, the dust and a recipt were still on the floor under the bed.. Pluss you hear everything that goes on out in the hallways. And the bathroom is small and in the 70s look.

These are converted dorm rooms for summer. They are not sound proof and they do not feel very private. The bed mattress hurt my back.

The entire hotel smelled like fish. Our bedroom was above the restaurant and for some reason they have pop music playing so loud i thought a rave was going on under me. I asked the staff to turn it down since the restaurant was empty but it didn’t help much. It was loud until 9pm and the you could hear the music from the bar until midnight. There are no amenities in the room like tv. Should be advertised as more of a hostel than a hotel. The common area with tv and pool table was nice but it closed very early.
