This is a very nice and family run hotel close to the main road but located in a very quiet area, inside it was very warm, even though outside temperature was low, rooms are big and modern with fully equipped kitchen, beds are very comfortable and bathroom is big, definitely a good place to sleep

Hotel was easy to find as it's located on the main highway. Check in was easy.
Room was clean and well appointed with a full kitchen.
Hotel had a sauna and hot tub.
Good area to view Northern Lights.
Dining room available.
Easy parking.
Hotel was very quiet.

We stayed here for 4 nights and we booked the Self Catering Cottage for 3 of us. When we arrived the first thing we noticed was the scenery all around the hotel it was beautiful. We got the key to the cottage and headed in. I was surprised how warm the cottage was considering when we arrived it was -7 and in the middle of a snow storm. The beds were comfy it had everything we needed and we got fresh towels every day. We managed to see the Northern Lights 3 out the 4 nights from the balcony of the cottage which was amazing. We went over to the hotel 2 nights for food and drinks which was lovely. Could not fault this accommodation at all and would highly recommend if you’re looking for somewhere a little more remote. The owners and staff were very friendly.

Nice stay for a couple of nights.
Short drive to Borgarnes and 1h to Vidgelmir's cave excurcion.
Sauna and bathtub were nice additions.
Breakfast was ok and the cost was about 20e.

Great stay, nice room with small kitchen area. They provided a travel cot for our 11 month old which was gold. Lovely welcome on arrival and very helpful staff. Great location on the ring road.

Keep on driving find a better hotel. We had to adjust our plans and we’re told the only room available was a deluxe family suite )$$$ more). When we arrived at this mostly empty hotel we asked if there were any regular rooms available and were told ours was the only one. While the room was neat and clean it was by no means deluxe beyond having a kitchen etc and the view from this room was to the back of the restaurant and the highway. Keep on driving past this one. Their focus is on $$$ not on hospitality.

We got a family size room and found the space to be clean with a well equipped kitchen and bathroom.
Kitchen: sink, fridge, utensils, cleaning supplies (must wash your own dishes), 4 person dining table.
Beds: Twin beds, comfortable and standard.
Bathroom: Included all basic amenities, towel warmer, standing shower.
Overall this place was a safe, solid choice for the area. The highlight was the well equipped kitchen. Everything else was standard. Would recommend if looking for a safe, basic stay with an actual kitchen (vs minibar).
