"The property was exquisite and situated in a rather smart part of Soissons. Our host was charming and very amusing. The apartment was furnished with beautiful antique furniture throughout and included a kitchen area, should you wish to self cater. The bed was very comfortable and the whole apartment was clean and tidy, but unfortunately the soap dispenser appeared to contain diluted soap and we had nowhere to put toiletries in the shower. Could do with more lighting in the toilet and we noticed rather interesting electrics on the wall? We managed with one hand towel, but could have done with more than three hangers. The breakfast was absolutely delicious with very fresh produce."

"We tried to check in the two rooms I had booked only to be told that only one room had been booked. The person behind the desk was not helpful. However we took the one room on offer which was small & stuffy with no A/C. We went to the next door hotel & secured another room. This hotel was friendly, helpful & cool. So we abandoned the Inn Design & moved in there as well. I would not recommend to anyone to stay in this establishment it was truly dreadful. We stayed in at least ten different hotels on our journey & this hotel was by far & away the worst."

"This email is to inform you of our unfortunate BAD experience on Sunday, May 18, 2025, at lunch at the Table du château de Courcelles (a gourmet restaurant with 1 Michelin star) in the Aisne. Note that we are 101 km from this establishment and that the round trip time is 3 hours from Chantilly where we live (we came only for lunch and of course, to have a good time..) Being regulars at this establishment for over 25 years (we have been there at least fifteen times). We sat down at the table (5 people), and a waitress brought us the restaurant's menu and menus, we consulted them and we hesitated between the 2 menus offered (a discovery at 110 euros and the other tasting at 160 euros, the latter being more provided with more noble materials: langoustine, truffles, John Dory, etc. After consultation, we chose the most prestigious menu at 160 euros, my 25-year-old daughter telling us that she didn't like veal or mushrooms (one of the main dishes on the 160 euro menu in question was: Veal ravioli with mushrooms and truffles..). I told her that there would probably be no problem and that we would ask to serve the poultry (a dish which, moreover, was offered in the lower 110 euro menu) to the person who came to take our order. We were surprised when this person in question was bothered and told us that she was going to see the chef Massiliano Cena in the kitchen to ask her if it was possible... and THEN, what a surprise when she came back telling us that the chef would not accept ANY changes, she only suggested that my daughter eat à la carte, and that then the WHOLE table had to eat à la carte because the meal or menus had to be the same for the whole table! Yes yes it is possible!! This person told us that in starred restaurants, changes were not made!! We even asked her to replace the dish with smoked salmon (a dish that was a starter in the Young Gourmet menu intended for children under 11), which she CATEGORICALLY refused at first..!! I sincerely think that the majority of customers would have left at that moment.. but we stayed given the travel time. We finally ordered 5 tasting menus at 160 euros, indicating when ordering that my daughter would not eat the veal, and that we would eat it instead ..!! Finally after the 1st or 2nd starter, the person came back telling my daughter that the chef had agreed (exceptionally) to replace the veal with truffles (one of the 2 main courses) with smoked salmon, a starter from the children's menu!! We were stunned (touch of humor..)!! but at least she was able to eat.. What flexibility and what management on the part of this establishment.., THAT is encouraging people to go to restaurants"

"HHONTEUX !! NO COMPATIBLE !!!! I put the minimum note because I can not put less not for the quality of the service but rather for the lack of compatible of these people. We had to make a small periphery in three different places for our 10 years of marriage, and unfortunately we had to cancel it because my husband's grandmother died suddenly in Portugal and he had to leave for the gifts. The other 2 reservations have been cancelled for the first without charge and delayed the date for the next to not lose the forecast. He said that any cancellation was lost and that the payment was lost. He didn't want to delay the date unless he arrived to relocate it between time and keeping us aware only of the morning of the booking. He just told us he had already had too many cancellations for weather or other bidden reasons and that he had mouths to feed so he will not make the refund or delay as well. He asked us for 1 death certificate I don't know why because he doesn't refund but Sil had wanted to refund or change date I would have provided him with even the air tickets proving the authenticity of this sudden event. He has republished 1 post on Facebook marking promo follow cancellation and we lose the amount of the night ... 399 euros yet and a 250e guarantee that remains blocked while we didn't go. I was very disappointed because to book for account he had well wanted to block the next !!! Maybe I should have asked my grandmother to delay her death, I think she would in any case have accepted."

Good parking, and there is a cracking sit-down Chinese restaurant 4 minute. walk from the hotel (Asiawok 5 Rue du Bois des Roses, 02100) Nice, clean room, no coffee or tea making facilities though, but a vending machine for water etc. Plenty of hot water for shower etc. Bit out of the way for the town I think, but ok as an overnight stop on the way to somewhere else."
