"El hotel está bien situado junto al agua, y cuando llegamos, nos ayudaron bien, pero cuando nos envíamos a la habitación, no nos habíamos dado la habitación que habíamos reservado. Cuando descubrimos que había un error administrativo, el apartamento llamado apartamento estaba lleno y podíamos ser compensados. Porque la habitación que teníamos era bonita y que sólo nos quedaríamos una noche no nos pareció necesaria para prestar mucha atención. La habitación que nos dio era espaciosa, muy bonita ducha y espaciosa. Pero cuidado un poco desde finales de 2025 el restaurante está cerrado. Por desgracia, no puedes sentarse en la hermosa terraza. En general, el hotel cumple, lo único que lamentable es que la terraza y el restaurante están cerrados, lo que hace que las fotos que habíamos seleccionado (hermosa terraza al agua) no se tomen completamente."

"Excellent service, good parking, good food and room size. The only down side is the potential danger of getting on to the main road leaving the hotel. Unfortunately we weren't offered a room with a balcony and Rhine view although the hotel didn't seem fully booked as I had expected having booked just a couple of days before arrival. The extra price would have been acceptable."

"We spent a weekend to wheel in Ahrtal. Alex is a very beautiful hotel in youth style. After the flood, as so much, completely renovated and beautiful. For bikers is provided with bike room & loading stations, we found super! The breakfast buffet was excellent. We had a standard double room, here the bathroom was very small, rather nothing for powerful people. What we missed was unfortunately the air conditioning, in hot days, it becomes sporty. When we spoke about the refrigerators, we were assured that they will still be exchanged. So here too, you are trying. The staff was very friendly! It is also worth mentioning the bar where you can mix a beautiful cocktail evening. All in all a very nice stay, we recommend Alex please continue!"

"Really disappointing. Car broke down in Calais, so we were stranded and had had no hope of getting there in time for our booking. Gave the hotel as much notice as possible (8 hours), and requested that they refund our room and breakfast but they refused. Needless to say we won't be booking there again and will tell the many travellers in our mototsports club to avoid aswell. Shame you couldn't be more sympathetic as you will now miss out on a lot of repeat business."

"We stopped here over Easter weekend to visit the Nurburgring and our stay was great! Great location and great service - all the staff were very accommodating. The breakfast was really good with fresh eggs cooked each morning 😊 The hotel also catered the best they could to a family members gluten allergy. The hotel also left Easter bunnies in our room which I thought was a nice touch! 🍫 Would defintley stop again and would recommend!"

"I was away on business and stayed three days in this wonderful hotel with a beautiful but above all very quiet room, the sauna area is also simply great, I can only recommend this hotel, really great."

Hotel Rieder

"Good location and the bathroom was lovely, the floor in my room creaked a lot so I had to walk around the outside so as not to disturb other guests. There was an issue on night 1 when some noisy residents in another block that started around midnight, by 01:45 I had had enough and went to sort it myself. I informed the reception the following day as there were no staff on the premises once the kitchen/bar staff left around. I asked what should I have done in light of no staff and was told I could call the main hotel number and someone would pick up as they do an on call rota. The drinking area outside the entrance to the hotel was also a source of noise albeit once that was generally quite after 23:00 and it would depend on which side of the hotel your room was on. It was very warm during my stay but unfortunately no fans were available for guest use and although the rooms had great windows it was very hard to ventilate when there was no breeze outside. The pillows are far too soft, I asked for 2 extra and managed to fold them in two and by using all 3 pillows it was near to what one would expect for a UK guest. The hotel was very clean and the staff were all nice, the breakfast was nothing special and having only 1 small toaster was not really good enough to suit the number of guests. The car park at the rear was OK so long as guests were respectful on how they parked and they are additional parking a short distance down the street. In summary I don't think Hotel Rieder offered good value for money and I am sorry to say that I would not stay there again. I know they are plenty of positive reviews but I have reviewed as I found, single traveller wanting a decent night's sleep in a quite room."
