Apartamentos El Sombrero

I have been to El Sombrero a couple of times now - and have found the staff fabulous (friendly, helpful and always willing to go the extra mile). The last couple of times I have been travelling alone but have never felt vulnerable staying here. There has always been reception staff about should I have needed assistance. (I didnt) I will certainly be returning and would recommend to others looking for somewhere to stay. The apartments may be classed as 'basic' but I found them to have everything I needed. They are large, incredibly clean and the whole complex is very well maintained and kept very tidy.

Apartments are nice enough ..very dated but is a good location ..been there before as this is what we like ..small pool area ..have to pay for WiFi

Just arrived back this morning after having a fantastic week away with my wife. Jet2 rate this a 2+, no idea why. It is brilliant. Very clean apartments, every member of staff we interacted with were so helpful. It's in the middle of everything, restaurants, pubs and convince stores all a walk away. Very close to the beach. Brilliant pool area. Locally I would recommend Domingo's for breakfast, there is also a Japanese place that can't remember because all I can think of the steak I had. Richardsons bar has a great atmosphere with great acts on ( especially if your an old mod). Highland paddy if your not so old. If you want a relaxed but fun holiday this is it. Oh and the excursions are great. I went on the pirate ship and we up close to a school of whales. It was amazing. We probably only did 20% of what we could have and that's why I can't wait to go back. Again, the staff at Los sombrero 6 stars. You were brilliant, thanks from nigel and Nicola

Second time we've stayed here , fantastic central place to stay here in Los gigantes, ,well situated at the top of the town ,very clean functional rooms ,with everything you need ,lovely well kept complex ,nice pool ,the staff are very friendly and really helpful

Greeted friendly shown to our one bedroom apartment with sea views, huge apartment basic but spotless very comfortable beds spacious balcony with table four chairs nd a sunbed amazing views right over to La Gomera. The pool was great lots of room and sunbeds. Close to restaurants and supermarkets great place to stay will definitely book again.

We have stayed at El Sombrero apartments over quite a few years now, the apartments are great value for money, spacious, clean and have great views of ,The Giants and La Gomera across the ocean. Very friendly staff, and a family friendly atmosphere, also a lovely pool area, and a smaller childrens pool. Close to the village and restaurants/bars as all are within walking distance.

My 19 year old daughter and I just spent a week here. We travelled with Jet2. We stayed in apartment 3, which is a one bedroom apartment. The apartment was really spacious and spotlessly clean. Yes it’s basic but it had everything you would need. Staff are really helpful and go out of their way to help. We were there for a week and the apartment was cleaned 3 times with fresh towels provided. The pool area is quiet and although people do save beds, there were always beds available throughout the day. The apartments are in a great position with the bus stop opposite. There are also restaurants, shops and bars really close by. We had a great week and will certainly return.

We had the two bedroom apartment which was huge. Separate lounge and kitchen area, lots of space to chill out indoors and outside on the large balcony. Grounds and pool area are well kept, plenty of sunbeds. The staff are friendly and helpful. The location is great, close enough to everything but still nice and quiet.

We have just returned from our winter break at El Sombrero. We first stayed in 1987, returning regularly and for the past ten years have spent 4-5 weeks there escaping the Scottish Winters. We have always felt well looked after, the management and staff are pleasant and helpful and the complex well kept. It is our “Happy Place” in the sun.
