Excelente trato con el personal de recepción. Han atendido correctamente a nuestras demandas. Aunque el hotel no está en el centro y hemos venido en coche particular, no lo hemos usado, ja que hay buena comunicación de transporte público hasta el centro de la ciudad. Una información adicional, en el caso de tener un coche eléctrico o híbrido, no tienen los adaptadores universales, solo el de carga domestica normal. Pero, fuera del hotel hay cargadores públicos con adaptadores universales (de pago).

We stayed at a double room in the Sofitel in Lyon for a total of 3 nights in the summer of 2023. The hotel is located just a few streets from the Place Bellecour which is one of the main squares in Lyon. It is also about 5 minutes away from many cafes, bistros and a large supermarket (Monop’) near Place Bellecour. The room itself was a fairly standard double room (approximately 20 square metres). The interior and furnishings of the hotel look a bit dated but they were fine and did not matter in any material way. The minibar is complimentary and it is restocked daily with bottled water (still and sparkling), fruit juice, coca cola, and dried fruits and nuts. The bed was nice and comfortable and the pillows were firm. Our only complaint was that the air conditioning was not very consistent and it would turn off in the middle of the night. It is not an issue if you are staying here in the winter but it made it difficult to sleep at night in the summer. The staff were all very nice and pleasant. The concierge was especially friendly and he helped us to store our bags and arrange for a taxi to the train station on our last day. We paid approximately EUR250 a night and we thought it was worth the price.

La ubicación es muy buena, justo al lado de la estación de tren, el servicio al cliente es también muy bueno, el servicio es bueno, es que la habitación es un poco pequeña en el estilo económico. La habitación tiene aire acondicionado, es muy guapo en el día que se caliente hasta que se evapore

Mi esposa ha estado aquí varias veces a lo largo de los años, yo, sólo un par. 1) las duchas en las habitaciones son, y siempre han sido, absolutamente pobres. Aparentemente, las personas se quejaron y ahora no se permite. Pero está bien para las mujeres que exponen mucha carne, aunque en ropa exterior. No entendemos la lógica No deberíamos quejarnos de los dos primeros puntos sobre un hotel 4* bastante caro

This is a very average 4 star hotel and would rate it a 3 star hotel. The positives - newly refurbished restaurant/ foyer and bar area. Good breakfast and wide range of drinks The negatives - location is definitely downtown. If you want the experience of the beauty of Lyon stay closer to the old town. - no conditioner or amenities such as ear buds. No where in the room did it say whether or not you can get this from reception so we ended up having to buy things for the stay - no complimentary water (every other hotel has provided this) - paper cups, not even glass - average room. Whilst it may be a little bigger than some other hotels it was very drab and needs an uplift. - no PowerPoint in bathroom. There is an electric razor outlet that will turn on a hair straightener but it does not heat it up so you have to use the hair dryer etx in the bedroom - terrible A/c (but thankful to have a window to open. This of course meant the room was super noisy with construction noise and traffic We were part of a tour so did not have the option to change hotels and unfortunately they were full booked so we couldn’t get an upgrade. At the time of our stay the nightly cost was €215 which was a complete rip off. The five star hotel across the bridge was around €250 and much much more opulent

When you travel you expect to be treated fairly and justly. This hotel did not. It started off ok but it was hot when we were there and there was no air conditioning in our room. Our room was on the street side and we either had to open a window and listen to loud noise or sweat. They did give me a broken fan and the next day when I complained they said that I should have asked for a better fan. BUT they knew the fan was defective as previous guests had stuffed paper into the neck to try to get the fan to stay upright. The staff said they would call the police to stop the noise after 10 but you cannot call enough police to hold down a crowd of noisy people. The staff promised me a better room the next day but then changed their mind (after I complained to **********) telling me that since I purchased a reduced fare through a discount site, that I would not get a better room. I decided to move to a better hotel since there were many in the area. Then the hotel would not give me a refund. I am out $275 SO here is my suggestion. There are many hotels in the area a lot better with a lot better customer service. Find a better one. Next, never book a hotel that does not say specifically that they will give a refund. Next, never pay at the hotel, pay through **********. Next, if you book through a discount site, make sure the hotel has air conditioning in ALL rooms or you will get the worst room in the house. Está cerca de la estación y de Carrefour, por lo que el transporte y las compras son muy convenientes. Hay una cocina con utensilios que puedes usar para cocinar tus propias comidas. También hay un aparcamiento de pago, pero no hay muchas plazas de aparcamiento, por lo que hay que probar suerte para ver si hay plazas libres.

The rooms are very small. The hotel is large, there are many guests and the elevator is often busy. close to the station and noisy from the trains. The floor is dirty in the corridor, old dirt under the beds. The parking lot is closed, but there is free access from the street. The surveillance camera records only those who enter, I did not see other cameras in the parking lot. When leaving the parking lot, you do not need a key - there is no security for your car, although parking is paid extra. Be careful with valuables. We had a smartphone stolen while cleaning. None of the administrators helped us - they answered politely and pretended to ask the staff. They behaved calmly, as if they had repeatedly rejected the guests' problems. I assume that they make money from the number of guests and forgive the thefts of the staff because it will be difficult to find a new employee there. I travel a lot and often choose budget options, but this is the first time I have such a bad experience.

The hotel is beautifully located near many attractions, bars and restaurants. The bed was very comfortable but did not like the pillows particularly. The room was cleaned but not hugely spacious. Plenty of space for your belongings. We had room 52. The shower was great but the towel rail was right in front of the toilet and it was physically impossible to sit straight while on the toilet. Even harder if you are tall! Otherwise, the Rooftop has a beautiful view of Fauvriere and it’s worth going for it. We decided to have breakfast somewhere else as we didn’t think it was worth €18 considering there are so many other lovely places in the area where they offer more choice for less. We haven’t tried dinner, but there’s a lovely atmosphere up there. Staff were very kind and professional at all times.
