My friends and I meet up in Leeds annually every February as it is a fairly central location and a lively and enjoyable place to catch up and reminisce on stories of old. We booked the art hostel as it was reasonably priced and looked an interesting and quirky accommodation. Upon arriving we were met by a friendly young lady wearing her who checked us in and pointed us in the direction pyjamas at no extra cost. Our 8 bed room was made up of 4 bunk beds. Each bed was like an enclosed cabin with a window to climb through to get into bed. The room was clean and neat and came with a free pokemon card. When seeing the setup i thought the top bunk would be quite an unique change to the norm so I left my bag on the top bunk and left the hostel to endulge on what can only be described as a disgraceful day of debauched drunked nonsense in Leeds city centre, a short walk away from the hostel. I can't actually remember getting back to the hostel, nor can i remember negotiating the step ladders up to the top bunk. My only rather vague memory is the searing pain and the stomach churning thud as my head bounced off the unforgiving wooden floor of the room after I somehow managed to fall out of bed in my sleep. I've since been told that I picked myself up off the floor and composed myself on a chair by the window that I can only assume the staff have positioned for this very reason although I can't actually remember this. I awoke this morning in my comfortable and clean top bunk bed with what looks like a blue egg on my forehead above my right eye and dried blood slathered across my brow and matted into my shirt which it seems I had failed to remove before embarking upon an otherwise gloriously comfortable slumber. Im not sure if it was the hangover or the head injury that caused the feeling of blunt knives being rammed into my eye sockets. Whatever the cause, it was rather painful. To my surprise I got little sympathy from my six ”friends” and room mates for the night. The proceeded to laugh, empty the contents of my bag over the floor, throw my socks out of the window and generally tease me about my misfortune. All in all a wonderful experience and one id highly recommend to anyone. 5 stars

Diseño de baño fantástico, amado la idea de la ducha. Pocas cosas que tener en cuenta. Cuando Ramadan se estaba haciendo, el estacionamiento era un poco de pesadilla. Pero una vez que la oración se acabó, el estacionamiento es una brecha. El ascensor no podía manejar el uso constante, se desplomó y se ahogó en el primer piso toda la noche. Así que las escaleras te mantendrán apropiado. 😉. (3rd piso que estabamos en), excepto eso, ubicación sorprendente, limpio, vale la pena el viaje. El radiador se hace super super caliente cuando está en. No ajuste más de 17, ya que las habitaciones son de tamaño medio, se calienta bien. Seguridad alrededor de la propiedad I.e entrar al hotel y usted es habitación etc, Fantastic. En general, gran estancia, recomendaría quedarse aquí. Sería quedarse de nuevo y de nuevo. Stayed for one night in a private room mainly because of the cost & location. I’d read a few reviews prior to my visit so was reasonably prepared. The manager is ‘different’ - I found him okay but others may find his attitude & demeanour a bit intense. The room itself was okay, basic but reasonably clean. I found my bed comfortable & actually slept very well. The separate toilet (one floor up) didn’t flush properly & I decided not to use the shower in the morning. There was toast, cereal & hot drinks available in the morning. The place overall is fairly basic but the price compared to the cost of a hotel is good & the location excellent too. Having chatted to the manager I deemed him okay personally but others find him very different. He’s been there a long time & probably needs a change in his life direction.

Room are up several sets of stairs, on the plus side there's no noise from the downstairs pub (they have music on Thursdays). There's a second exit to the rear car-park, although the hotel has only 4 spaces it backs onto the large North Parade car park. The location is close by the river which has a nice bank-side walk and it's within walking distance of everything else in Otley. I can't comment on the dinner as the chef was on maternity leave and evening meals were 'off' but the cooked breakfast was fine and the range of beers and ales in the bar was good. Rooms are comfortable but quite small, from memory there's 4 or 5 in what seems to be loft conversion. My room was shower only via an instant electric heater which was actually OK. Other facilities in the room were fine, with a small desk, kettle, wardrobe etc. An annoyance was the room doors are on automatic closers, probably for fire regs, and other guests did let them slam shut. I'm sure closers can be adjusted so avoid that! WiFi was OK, but they were having some problems when I was there, maybe linked to the till not accepting credit cards. I paid via *********** to resolve that. All in all, I thought decent value and really nothing startling to complain about.

Really good place to stay when visiting Leeds or especially if you are visiting the Arena, which is just a short walk away. Host was very amiable and helpful. The room was a bit tired but the bed was really comfortable and there was an array of pillows to pick for your comfort. We’d definitely choose to stay here again. Only thing I would suggest is some sort of net curtains. Our room was a corner room on the first floor with two panoramic windows looking out onto a busy shopping street. We felt a bit like we were in a gold fish bowl for all to see.
