Súper rentable, en el centro de la ciudad, conveniente para el metro, para caminar, servicio amable y una experiencia única en la arquitectura carcelaria. Me quedaré aquí de nuevo. Bonita experiencia en el albergue carcelario de Ottawa y bonitos recuerdos en Canadá.

Decently great stay. I would come back if I were to solo travel and had to stay somewhere downtown. Pros: - location: central, pretty, accessible, amazing. Local friends were impressed it was in such a central yet “nice” place in the middle of the city. - service: helpful, chill, nice staff. Available even at midnight. - design: fits the Montreal Aesthetic PERFECTLY. Inside old buildin, made modern, yet keeping the most beautiful old features restored. Just being here made it feel like I was staying at a nice place. Cons: - 50CAD is a bit steep for a hostel. But there was a jazz festival and it is Montreal during summer. - the lockers being inside the bottom floor room was a little loud. Easy to use but the noise of the opening doors was annoying - capsule size I am 193cm/6ft4. I did not fully fit inside the capsule. I had to lay “diagonally” and somewhat not fully relaxed. - heat: the “AC” is there but during summer it is not enough. It is doable but if you are sensitive to heat at night it is something to consider. You can always open the capsule doors and it is nice and cool but that is a personal choice. (P.S there is a remote for the TV behind the “cabinet”. If you miss it and accidentally turn on/off the main power of the capsule you may miss it)

El campus se convirtió en albergue para el verano. La habitación es pequeña pero limpia y en su mayoría cómoda aunque no hay cono de aire. Hay sólo un baño compartido en cada alas de cada piso, pero hay baños individuales en cada habitación. La ubicación está cerca del transporte público (autobús), pero hay una pequeña distancia a pie de la parada de autobús. A 10 minutos a pie de Metro (Canadian chain store) y tienda de compras con servicio al cliente que habla inglés (la mayoría de las personas en la zona hablan inglés limitado).

On the plus side, this hostel is in a PRIME location. We walked all over Old Quebec and loved it! The AC worked GREAT. The beds were pretty comfy. We were not very happy about the fact that we had booked a room through Trip.com that had a private bath. When we arrived they said that the reservation did not specify that, but I showed them the actual reservation and it DID say we had a private bath. They said there was nothing they could do about it and when I said that since I had PAID for a private bath I should at least get a discount, but they were unwilling to do this either. My travel partner said she heard some other people checking in another day and they had a similar problem with the shared bath, so we are wondering if it's a bait and switch thing with the hotel. We also told them the first morning that the light over the sink in our room was burned out or broken and she said they would have someone check it out when they came in. Nobody ever came. The shared bathroom was okay but could definitely be improved by adding a paper towel holder (there was a roll of paper towels sitting on the shelf for a few days, but eventually it all got used and it was not replaced before we left.

El hotel está en una habitación muy cercana, y el otro está en G/F y el otro está en 1/F. El hotel está muy bien, pero no puede hablar inglés y no nos dijo ningún bebé ni ningún cocinero. Nos hemos mantenido en G/F y 1/F los dos originales habitaciones.No hemos usado el barbacoa como estaba en el 1/F y no queríamos mover o pedir al servicio que se mueva (eso parece que la fuerza humana en el hotel es limitada). En cualquier caso, la vista era muy buena y nos disfrutamos del sol en la mañana. Por último, debo señalar que la ubicación de los plugs de energía en el interior de la habitación era pobre. Nos proporcionaron una caldera, pero no era amable con la fuente de energía. La habitación era muy agradable, pero la comida en el restaurante era excelente. Gracias.

This hotel is a little gem in a super area of downtown Montreal. The room was spotless and the bed was very comfortable, with high-quality sheets and a good selection of comfortable pillows. A kitchenette made it very easy to pick up salads or snacks to refrigerate or reheat leftovers from a restaurant the night before. Breakfast is included and there’s a good selection of fruit, boiled eggs, smoked salmon, deli meats and yogurt. Cereals as well. While there were scrambled eggs, I tried them twice but not cooked to my taste. Having said that, there were fresh pastries and bagels, so a bagel with cream cheese and smoked salmon with some fruit served very well. This hotel is very walkable to Notre Dame, Place des Arts and several theatres and museums. Lots of great restaurants to suit anyone’s tastes. The subway is literally a 3-minute walk and in 10 minutes, you can be at the Jean Talon Market, which has a plethora of foods and drinks to suit anyone’s taste palate. I’d highly recommend Hotel and Spa Carre St. Denis and will definitely be back next time I visit Montreal.

Pros: The rooms are big, clean, comfortable, and have everything you need. The breakfast is quite abundant and varied; it would only need some boiled eggs, cheese, or another source of protein to be perfect. The reception staff are friendly and polite. Cons: The pet fee is ridiculously high ($40, and they also charge taxes on top of that, which makes no sense). Total = $46. It is the highest pet fee I paid during my trip from Montreal to Calgary. For example, in Ontario, Winnipeg, and Saskatchewan, many motels don’t even charge a pet fee. What some other places do is charge a refundable deposit in case of damages, rather than a non-refundable fee for no particular reason. For this reason, I would not return. Noise: You can hear absolutely everything from the adjacent rooms. In fact, a couple was arguing quite loudly and aggressively during my stay, including shouting, which affected my sense of safety. Staff members who were nearby at the time, should be vigilant and intervene in this kind of situation.

I had an outstanding stay at this hotel and would gladly return. From the moment I arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. Check-in was quick, and I appreciated how clearly everything was explained. We came to ski at Le Massif, Mont-Sainte-Anne, and Stoneham, and stayed for three nights. The location was very convenient — about 20 minutes from Le Massif and 15 minutes from Mont-Sainte-Anne. The price was very affordable, and the whole place was extremely clean. There’s no breakfast included, but the hotel has a large shared kitchen that is fully equipped: lots of pots and pans, plates, utensils, and even cooking oil, salt, pepper, and some snacks — all free. There are plenty of dining tables, and there’s also a pool table where we could relax in the evenings. Overall, this hotel was comfortable, convenient, and a great value. I would definitely recommend it and would be happy to stay here again.
