Overall the unit is clean and good only small issue with Air-conditioning. All air-conditioning units, are not in very good condition... there are not cool enough and 1 unit actually dripping water when the air-conditioning unit are in operation! Yeah, the ceiling fan also have noise that disturbing sleep and when the air-conditioning units doen't producce enough coolness, the fan needed to be turn on but it gave another problem that is actually quite annoying.

Caren 鎂晴Really had a very pleasant stay here with my family 😊
We all loved the unit very much. The house design feels very cozy and comfortable, and most importantly, the whole place was very clean.
Before our stay, the check-in and check-out instructions provided were also very clear and easy to follow, which made the whole self check-in process very smooth and convenient for us.
The facilities were also very family-friendly for guests with babies and children. The host thoughtfully prepared extra bedsheets, pillows and blankets in the cabinet. There were also board games, swimming goggles and swimming floats prepared for guests.
The kitchen utensils were very complete, and they even prepared separate utensils for Muslim guests, which was very thoughtful. Another thing we really appreciated was the floor mats outside the bathrooms because our family is not used to walking around indoors with wet feet.
My daughter especially loved sleeping in the living room because she could lie on the bed while chatting together with the family. There was even an old-school game console for guests to play with, which brought back nostalgic memories 😊
The air-conditioning was cold enough, and the refrigerator remained powered on while we were outside, so we did not have to worry about our food getting spoiled. The bathroom also had a shower chair for elderly guests, which was very suitable for my father.
The location was also very convenient. In the morning, there were Malay food stalls right across the accommodation. Walking about 5–10 minutes to the left side, there were also Chinese food options available. Downstairs, there was ZUS Coffee and a mini bar, which made everything even more convenient for families staying here.
During our stay, my father accidentally broke the shoe rack while sitting down to wear his shoes, and we also accidentally cracked two mugs while making ice. The host was very understanding, did not blame us, and immediately reassured us not to worry. We truly appreciated their kindness and professionalism.
The only small suggestion for improvement would be to have more power sockets, as families travelling together usually need to charge many phones and devices.
Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would gladly come back again 😊

Muhammad_Ali_HashemiCertainly! Below is a **detailed, balanced, and constructive review template** for **Hangoutspacez Queensbay** (or a similar budget/co-living space in Penang). Since this isn’t a widely documented property, I’ll structure it generically so you can adapt it based on your actual experience.
---
### **Hangoutspacez Queensbay – Honest Review**
**Location: ★★★★☆** (4/5)
- **Pros:** Close to Queensbay Mall (5–10 min walk), easy access to restaurants, supermarkets, and public transport. Convenient for business travelers (Bayan Lepas tech zone) or tourists exploring Penang’s south.
- **Cons:** Not in the heart of tourist spots like George Town (requires Grab/taxi).
**Cleanliness: ★★★☆☆** (3.5/5)
- **Pros:** Daily cleaning for common areas; linens provided are fresh.
- **Cons:** Occasional maintenance issues (e.g., slow drain in showers, worn-out furniture). Budget vibe—don’t expect luxury.
**Facilities: ★★★☆☆** (3/5)
- **Pros:** Free WiFi (decent speed), communal kitchen, and lounge area. Good for solo travelers or digital nomads.
- **Cons:** No gym/pool; shared bathrooms can get crowded during peak hours.
**Staff & Service: ★★★★☆** (4/5)
- Friendly and helpful for local tips, but limited 24/7 front desk support.
**Value for Money: ★★★★☆** (4/5)
- Affordable for Penang (around RM50–100/night for dorms). Ideal for short stays, but may lack long-term comforts.
**Room for Improvement:**
1. **Better Soundproofing** – Noise from common areas can be heard in private rooms.
2. **More Power Outlets** – Limited charging points in dorms.
3. **Clearer House Rules** – E.g., quiet hours or kitchen cleanup policies.
**Verdict:**
A **no-frills, social budget stay** best suited for backpackers, solo travelers, or those attending nearby events. Manage expectations—it’s functional but not luxurious.
---
### **How to Use This Review Constructively:**
- **If You’re a Traveler:** Compare with alternatives (e.g., Tune Hotel, capsule hostels). Prioritize location vs. price.
- **If You’re the Property Owner:** Address cleanliness/maintenance, add clear signage for rules and maybe create any accessible lockers available to utilize the space in the efficient manner.

Lai Fee ChingWe decided on our overnight trip to Penang at the very last minute but still managed to secure this unit and check in on 29th Dec 2025, since it was impromptu, prices were not cheap. It was difficult to find good and reasonably priced accommodation just after Christmas before New Year. However, I must say this unit was a good find. Not cheap but reasonably priced due to high season but I must say that it was easy to book, check in and out, everything went smoothly. Communication via Whats App and Check in details were sufficient, did not have any difficulties in finding the place and parking was good. Location is excellent.
This place is in Georgetown, we did do GRAB if we wanted to go to places which were difficult to find parking and the rest which were further we just drove to where we need to go. For dinner, the young adults walked back from Citadines Hotel area (happening place with hawker food round the corner and a shopping mall) and had a great time discovering new F & B outlets. The rest of the senior citizens of course, took a GRAB car and quickly got back to the unit to rest and had a nice cuppa tea before bedtime. The following morning, it was breakfast at Pulau Tikus market, nearby as well. Old hawkers are still around there, so food is good. There is a great Nyonya restaurant in that area as well though we could not go this time round as we ended up at Oceano Symphony. Another story to follow up if you are interested.
Our family enjoyed our stay at the unit, decor was good and facilities were well-kept, clean and sufficient. The view is lovely (high floor) - do have a good seaview, stretches from Living room all the way to the Master Bedroom. Also you have 2 convenient shops downstairs in case you need to grab a sandwich or drinks.

Overall we are satisfied with this hotel but there are one thing I want to highlight. After check out the lady whom I liased with when I checked in told me that there are a burn mark on the bedsheet & also mattress protector and she will forfeit my deposit of RM50.
I then asked my niece who slept on that bed & she said the burn mark was initially there but she doesn’t know that she must inform us about it.
I’ve tried to explained to her many times that my 11 years old niece was sleeping on that bed & none of us in that room smoke or using any electrical appliances such as hair iron or curling iron or which non of us have with us so how can we the burn mark appeared there. She kept insisting that it was a fresh burn mark and she won’t let her hotel guests sleep with a burn mark bedsheet.
This is totally a scam to us as I travel with my mum, my husband, niece (11 years old) & nephew (10 years old) could caused the damage as claimed. I do not have choices but just accept it as the lady keep saying that my deposit is not even enough to cover. Am not sure why they used such a tactic towards a family with kids and I have never had this problem in my entire booking with Trip.com.
It was our mistake that we didn’t check the hotel room condition as we checked in very late - 8:26pm and all of us are really tired from travelling long journey.
I’d say it was caused by their own staff which are 2 Bangladeshi guys who handle housekeeping but they blamed it on my family. Of course they won’t admit it as the lady keep saying they won’t provide burn bedsheet.
This is totally not fair to me and one of the staff keep insisting me to pay the deposit when I arrived.

Usuario anónimoWe had a pleasant experience and loved staying at the accommodation. It was well equipped with amenities (smart tv, air purifier) and well located with eateries and convenience store nearby . The sea view from the apartment was amazing. Additionally, the host (Yeoh) was extremely helpful in providing recommendations to go or eat within Penang and was prompt in answering queries related to the apartment. In summary this is a hidden gem worth staying .

I really enjoyed my 2 night stay at their standard double room with attached bathroom. Located in a heritage building with lots of old world charm. Even though they cater to budget travelers, they have a nice lobby and good service. Location is great- a stones throw away from delicious hawker food at Kimberly Street & Penang Road and 10 minutes walk to the Georgetown UNESCO world heritage area. Lots of eateries and cafe around. The room is clean, bed is comfortable, everything in the room works as advertised. And it is quiet too for a good nights sleep. I would visit again.
