Excellent breakfast and evening meal in the Palm court restaurant. Staff very pleasant. Evening entertainment every night. Great location with tram station right outside. Very good value for money for seaview superior room. Cheaper standard rooms need attention in regards to facilities and cleanliness but still good for price. Interesting historic hotel.

The hotel and entrance are great, no complaints there. I’ve been a regular at another hotel within 5 miles of here, where the facilities are immaculate and the rooms are always meticulously clean. So I had high expectations. On walking into my room (250), it was freezing. I immediately turned on the electric radiator, but was woken up at 2am by the thermostat flicking on and off repeatedly. The digital screen kept lighting up and going off it felt like there was a rave in my room. Highly annoying and not conducive to a good night’s sleep. Before bed, I went for a shower and splashed foamy suds around as you do. After finishing, I was washing down the inside of the shower cubicle and noticed what I thought were leftover soap suds near the door handle. I went to wipe them off and I can tell you now, they were not soap suds. Absolutely disgusting. The previous occupant clearly lacked basic hygiene, and although it shouldn’t be expected, the cleaners really need to have a keener eye for detail. This sort of thing should never be missed. Primera vez en el Holiday Inn Las cosas buenas son Espaciosa habitación con gran estándar Comfortables y limpias camas y toallas ( un grande y un pequeño para una persona cada ) Tiene cafetera y té con tratamientos ( biscoitos) Tiene secador de pelo y un hierro con una placa de hierro en el armario. Tiene una mesa redonda y una silla de sofá en la parte superior de una mesa y una silla de trabajo . El hotel dispone de una pequeña sala de gimnasio , piscina y jacuzzi . Puede incluir desayuno y cena (tiene restaurante) y puede reservar a la habitación (servicio de habitaciones) ¡Sólo traje cama y desayuno y desayuno es una gran opción y abundante! Malas cosas El ascensor del hotel se ha roto y me ha puesto en el tercer piso, pero puedo pedir al personal que me dé en el piso (dijo última habitación / no hay otra opción) habitación doble. Es mejor escribir la solicitud de que en el caso de ascensores no trabajan para dar el suelo o el suelo inferior. Kettle no tiene sieva ( puede quebrarse antes de mí. ) La silla del sofá tiene una tela delante de mí . En general, muy bien servicio y gran habitación y dispone de buenas instalaciones.

La habitación no tenía suficiente almacenamiento para los tres de nuestras ropas. Las toallas no se sustituyeron todos los días que yo encuentro muy pobres. También había una marca en una de las toallas y mi madre realmente la encontró rodada y colocada de nuevo en el almacén en el baño. We had two rooms booked. 1 room was with elederly parents! The room given was a fair walk and was quite far from the reception area with no assistance only verbal directions. It would've been nice to have had some assistance from staff. When we got to the room the sink plughole was blocked so I rang reception to get it fixed, didn't happen! Questioned reception duty staff and he lied and he said he had it fixed by maintenance when no one even came to look at it! This isn't the service we expected from ‘Mercure’ standard. Leaning over the bath to brush our teeth and everytime we needed to wash our hands after using the toilet we had to use the bathtub. Not sure I read anywhere but to use the swimming facilities the adults have to pay £10 fee. Other than that the hotel is near local shops/motorway as well.

Fab place lovely lodges outside them could do with little clean but suppose it's nature the inside clean an homey all's u need is provided aswel the balcony was amazing way lead onto lake it's self so my son could b up close to ducks without being in water there is watersports shop bar restaurant playarea in an out crazy golf walking around lake is nice and central to go out exploring Windermere 30min drive and had an amazing day there also little chippy 5 min drive on north road think was called was lovely food and ok priced to

Self catering studio set in beautiful grounds was perfect for our 2 night stay. We really enjoyed the wine tasting evening with Alberto and the History of the Hall talk with John. Only marked down on amenities because the restaurant and bar were closed , due to the owners being on holiday and we weren't made aware this at time of booking.

Easy to find. Parking a short distance from entrance. If you are in anyway disabled you can drop off my main entrance but cannot park. There is no lift in the hotel so if disabled you are going to need to ask for a ground floor room. I didn't know there was no lift so they had to quickly change my top floor room to ground floor room. They did this effortlessly despite being fully booked. The room smelt unpleasant so I kept window open and used air freshener. There was no remote for the TV and when they found a spare remote, the TV didn't work. They brought in a second TV and the manager was a hilarious man who made me roar with laughter as he tried to resolve the issues. The food was good. I stayed two days. I would come back.

Wonderful hotel. Our room was a suite and well appointed and comfortable. Spund proofing seemed good, as we had a very peaceful night. Hotel facilities were great. Lovely pool and bar area. All.staff were fabulous and made us feel really looked after. We will be back.
