Took me quite a while to decide on which hotel for our trip to Phuket and when I finally picked one, we settled for Avista Hideaway Patong for the first leg of our trip.
Do note that the hotel is on the top of the hill so grab/taxi/tuktuk ride is pricey as the journey up is quite a distance away from the hustle and bustle of Patong.
Got to give it to the serenity and peacefulness of the location. The view is scenic and we absolutely love waking up to it.
We booked a King garden view room and was assigned a King+Queen garden access room but there were a few issues that needs to rectified - a strong stench in the room which denotes dampness, and stains on the towel and pillow smelled weird, no iron and ironing board.
Their manager quickly got back to me first thing in the morning and had those problems fixed with a change of room. Everything was great in the new room. Appreciate the smart tv, the gorgeous pool and lush greenery view.
One thing they could improve on would be cleanliness (the glass panels in the bathrooms need to be cleaned. They didn’t even clean the glass panels 🤢
Other than that, the staff are extremely helpful and kind. They were sincerely assisting us in whatever we needed.

The pools are great. breakfast is not as impressive compared to Avista grande. We got an upgrade to the private pool suite which is huge. The cleanliness of the room can be improved on. Carpark is small but there are available parking space at night. Hotel staff was accommodative and nice to give late check out due to our evening flight.

Very good service. Location near Freedom beach is a plus. They have a shuttle service to go to Karon and Patong beaches, which is great since taxis in Phuket can be steep. Beautiful and quiet environment if you want to chill away from the Patong buzz. Breakfast is very good.

U will like the hotel if u like more peace and away from the bustle of main Patong area. The hotel is also huge, like a maze in there. All the staffs we met were very friendly and helpful. The only downside is the location even though we do enjoy the hotel and room but it was impossible for us to get a grab to go anywhere and definitely not walking distance to main patong area. While the hotel provides shuttle service to a few locations, I find the timings to be limited, wished they had more timing options across the whole day. I missed out going a lot of places being my first time in Phuket because of the hotel location and how difficult it is to get a grab without having to pay a bomb to taxi services who tried to charge us a lot. So will recommend if you just want to stay mainly in the hotel, enjoy the facilities and relax, I would not if you want to explore Phuket

Nice resort not too resorty, with a bit of a boutique hotel feeling. The first room they gave us was not great but when we asked to change it they immediately gave us a new one which was good. Good breakfast and nice pools.

Impressive stay. Smiles were on every staff member's face. Front desk, bell, housekeeping, F&B, spa. All staff were very helpful and friendly.
I reserved a jacuzzi suite. Room was spacious enough for us but the jacuzzi, which was supposed to be the highlight of the suite, didn't work properly. Water kept leaking from the drain so we couldn't stop the tap in order to keep the water level. And we couldn't find any switch to turn on the jacuzzi. But these didn't really affect us a lot so we didn't raise during our stay. We still spent our last night at the jacuzzi with a rainy scene.
Food and spa were good. But I believe better options will be available in town.
The hotel is around 15 minutes from Patong Beach downtown by car. Not far but it cost us 400B/one way each time we went out. It cost less than 600B/one way to the Phuket Old Town, which is a 50-minute drive. In comparison, we really doubted why the downtown trip was so expensive.
The hotel has excellent view and the pool is also a highlight. If transportation doesn't concern you interms of cost and time, I do recommend this place for a holiday escape.
